Neat little park. The trails are short and won't take you long to walk if you're interested in seeing the caves.

The namesake of the park is closed due to a fungal infection. Like most park caves, I suspect it will never be open to the public again, but it is still worth walking across the bridge to look in at it and learn a little about white nose fungus. Further up the trail is another cave, about the size of a small car that's very cool to find. Blink and you'll miss it though, as it's off to the side of and below the actual trail.

Below the bridge and trails is a small creek where you can find all kinds of ocean fossils. I always enjoy this natural scavenger hunt. Lots to see.

We really enjoyed this park, it was perfect for a quick afternoon with the kids. The kids love shallow creeks you can wade through and there’s a big bridge that crosses Flint creek over to Starr cave. The cave is closed but has some informative plaques outside and you can feel the cool cave air bellowing out. Also a cool photo op if you can get the kids to stand in front of it. There were some families straight up swimming in the creek so it must be deeper in some areas. Wish we would have had time to explore more.

This is a great place to visit. Inside they have a floor of cool children's play & learning activities. They host many outdoor adventures. There are lots of trails the main trail is wheelchair accessible all the way to the cave. Kids & adults have fun creek stomping & playing in the water.

Beautiful location with lots of verticality, a neat bridge to walk across, and a couple of small caves to look inside. Absolutely stunning during peak fall colors!

Beautiful nature what can I say. I was just sad that the cave itself was closed because of the sick bats that I hope they get better soon so I can visit again and take awesome cave pictures.

Probably my favorite hiking place in SE Iowa. The stream is great for wading, and the nature center is informative.

This is a gem of Burlington Iowa. One of my favorite spots there. Easy, nice hike through the forest that runs along a flowing creek. Great place to take the kids.

Great place to hike, the have an upper and lower trail, if the creeks low you can cross on the rocks to get to both sides.

Great hiking for all ages. I took my 6 and 3 year old children on a nature walk and they had a blast. Easy paths with some hills and a beautiiful stream that you can splash in.
