Ryan Oetken Family Dentistry

Been going to Oetken Family Dentistry since moving back to Dubuque 3 years ago. Dr. Ryan Oetken is very knowledgeable, professional, thorough and takes time and genuine interest in mine and my kids dental wellness. Always willing to answer questions and had makes time for urgent matters-happened with one of my kids.
The staff is also exceptional and professional as well. Makes going to the dentist a comfortable experience.
Kudos to Dr. Ryan Oetken and his staff.

Dr. Oetken explains everything throughly.
Dental assistants take their time and throughly clean and always check in how you’re doing.

I never have a long wait , they are very friendly and answer all of my questions so that I understand what is going to be done.
I never experience pain. They always genuinely care , and the work that they do on my teeth is exquisite.

My first visit to a new dentist in over 30 years certainly did not disappoint! What a wonderful first experience and impression Dr Ryan Oetken, Angie and Team had on me! Super friendly, thorough, comforting, and professional! They patiently answered all my questions, and even those I didn’t know I had. I cannot say enough great things about them. Dr Ryan and his staff are fabulous. For every appointment they are very prompt with taking me back to a room and are so incredibly friendly. They all always take the time to listen to any concerns or questions I may have. Each dental hygienist I and my husband have had is fantastic. I recently took my 3 year old son in for his first dental appointment and the staff was excellent with him, making him feel comfortable throughout his time and made it for an excellent first experience. Been going to Dr. Ryan Oetken since he started 3 years ago and took over Dr Zimmer's practice. Great place with people who care about your smile. Angie, the super nice dental hygienist does a fabulous job on my teeth, and Dr Ryan has done a great job as well with my families teeth. I can honestly say I love coming to their dentist office! Can't wait for their new office on cedar cross road! Good luck with the move!

Oetken is a great place to go for all your dental needs. I love Angie who does my semi-annual cleanings (over 10 years+). She is thorough, knowledgeable, gentle and friendly. She is insightful and Dr. Oetken trusts in his staff. I have had several more major dental procedures by Dr. Oetken & staff and they have all gone well. I would recommend them to anyone.

The team at Oetken Dentistry is wonderful. We started in 2021 after ongoing turnover at a previous practice and so we were looking for stability and a positive environment for us and our three kids. I am grateful to have found that here. Dr. Oetken takes plenty of time to explain things and allow for questions. He has a good sense of humor and is very competent. He also seems to treat his staff wonderfully, being respectful and friendly to them and leading by appreciating all they do within the practice. Angie did a thorough job cleaning my teeth and works hard to ensure I stay comfortable throughout the cleaning. When I needed a crown, they worked with me to determine timing to best use my dental benefit for the year. My seven year old was very stressed about having to get a filling. Everyone in the practice from when we walked in the door worked to help him relax. Tori came out and talked to him about Star Wars, and took him back when he was ready to show him how things worked. She took each step slowly, and made him laugh a lot. Dr. Oetken came in once Tori felt he was ready, and also created a warm and friendly environment, helping ease my son's anxiety about the work. I know this process took them much longer than usual, but no one seemed frustrated or like they wanted to rush him. I really appreciate that respect of him, as I know it will help make it easier in the future for him. Overall, I am really happy with everyone at the practice, my parents even switched dentists because of our experiences, and I look forward to having a long term dentist.

Had my first visit to Oetken Family Dentist on Thursday 12 1 22 and I could not have gone to a more pleasurable Dentistry than here. The staff from Brandi, Angie to Ryan himself could not made this visit any more comforting than it was. If anyone is looking for a good Dentist with heart warming staff and atmosphere you will not be disappointed. Great place to be..

Angie Vogelsberg is the best hygienist I ever had. Angie is extremely concerned about personal comfort and is very gentle plus she has a great sense of humor.

When I was looking for a dentist after moving to the DBQ area I was being picky and I am so glad I found Dr. Ryan and his team! They are always so friendly and you can tell they genuinely care about their patients. Very knowledgeable and are always able to answer your questions. I even had to get some more serious dental work done and they did a wonderful job and explained everything to me to make sure I understood what the process was. The office of Dr. Ryan Oetken provides great dental services. He has a competent and friendly staff that is also very professional. As a patient you quickly realize that they take a personal interest in you and your dental health. I cannot recommend Ryan, Angie and the entire staff enough. They are very friendly and professional and we wouldn’t think of going anywhere else! We make a 40 min trip to see the team as they’ve provided the best dental experience for us and our entire family.

Dr. Oetken and his team provide a wonderful and comfortable space at their practice. I'm always informed each step of the way-- I find it very helpful and it eases any anxiety or stress! Tori is always sweet about holding my hand when I need any numbing done, and I've seen firsthand (for MANY years) how professional and warm Angie and Nancy are. All of my experiences with this clinic have been wonderful! The staff make sure to make me feel comfortable and take time to get to know me! The staff are all very knowledgeable and the provider stays up to date on treatments. It's obvious they care about my teeth and me!
