Helix

It had been far too long since we had eaten here. We were certainly excited for our Saturday night reservations. It was hard to stay away any longer. We had been looking at all of the great Facebook posts that Helix had been putting up showcasing the specials leading up to our visit. The regular menu has many excellent choices as well. They have a great selection of drinks too. We chose Crab Dip for our appetizer. It was a tough call, because there was a Thai Pork Belly appetizer that was looking delicious as well. Our server was prompt and attentive. We also got a hello from Brad so that's how it's an extra added bonus :) My wife had the Brazed Beef and Shrimp over Mushroom Risotto and I had the special of the day which was Beef Tips covered with Gorgonzola Cream Sauce over mashed potatoes topped with haystack onions. Both of our meals were absolutely delicious. I can't recommend Helix enough. Follow them on Facebook and Instagram to keep an eye on what they are serving up next!

Waiter was so nice, mex shimp special was fantastic , the drinks were excellent, noise level was good for conversation during the busy supper hour

Serving staff was fast and friendly! After putting in our entree order, our food came out in less than 20 minutes. Great atmosphere, great food, and a good wine list. Highly recommend!

Always a great dining experience! Great food and service! The Spicy Tuna no Roll is my go to!! Have had several of the entrees & Apps and they have all been excellent!

Great selection of wine to pair with amazing appetizers and unique cuisines. A delicious 😋 amount of good beer to choose from and look for their blood orange 🍊 cocktail 🍸

First time visit tonight. Very, very good. I tried the pan seared salmon and my wife had the pork belly. Beers were cold. Service was excellent. Finished the night out with the cheesecake and banana bread pudding. Delicious!

Excellent food and service. Make sure you get a reservation. We were lucky to grab a seat at the bar. Bartenders were friendly and helpful with suggestions. Cocktails were great. We enjoyed pork belly and flatbread appetizers. For dinner we shared a great salad and an amazing filet. Can’t recommend high enough! It’s a must try.

The food is amazing! We are here with a large group of people and the service is amazing. Nice atmosphere for a gathering.

We moved to the Grand Forks area 3 years ago from Pittsburgh, PA, and before that we lived in Minneapolis. Helix is as good as any restaurant we went to in either of those cities. My wife is glute-free and has a number of go-to items on the menu, which is clearly labeled for gluten-free options. We have gone multiple times and will be back!

Did an impromptu birthday/date night dinner here. We didnt know we needed reservations for a table. But they still had space at the bar, which was not a bad spot at all. Drinks were fantastic and the food was delicious!

Went on date night with my girlfriend for a drink and light dinner. We got the meat and cheese tray as well as salads. The food was amazing, salads were the best I have had in town and the tray was amazing.

Helix is simply the best! I have never had a bad meal there, ever! It quickly became an almost weekly tradition for my husband and I. Brad and the staff are attentive, friendly, and accommodating.

Easily my favorite place in Grand Forks to eat. I haven't even looked at the menu in a month because the special has been amazing. Super friendly staff and fantastic atmosphere. It can be spendy but it can be cheaper as well. Just depending what you make of it. Highly recommend!

This is a great place in Grand Forks. Great menu and great wine. I had the special (birria fried chicken) and it is some of the best chicken I've had anywhere! Loved it, highly recommended!

Consistently spectacular menu. My favorite place to go when I want really excellent food and truly spectacular drinks.

Took a friend from out of town here on a whim. We were NOT disappointed. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Our food and drinks arrived in a timely manner and our waitress was fun and personable. The pork belly flat bread was fantastic and we decided to split two of the desserts: the fig bread pudding - which was wonderful and tasted like something out of grandmas kitchen - and the tiramisu. Oh-em-gee y’all about taking your tastebuds on an adventure!! I have never had a dessert THAT amazing. 10/10 would absolutely recommend.

Possibly the best filet I have ever had. Wife had the salmon which was also amazing. Unique environment with many out of the ordinary drink selections. Highly recommend for a quite date night. Dinning room is not very big but they where able to accommodate for a group of 6.

The pork belly appetizer is absolutely delicious.

The liquor and particularly the wine selection is diverse with high quality. The food, though, is where I feel like this place sets itself apart. Frequently taking advantage of seasonal produce, the chef is adventurous with great execution by the staff. Even though the menu is selective, I'm never disappointed. Looking forward to new experiences here.
