We love Swiss Valley! We met the host Larry and he was very helpful. It does get crowded very fast. Very kid friendly and the park and restrooms are well-maintained. Dog friendly.

This is a beautiful, spacious park with lots of trees and open spaces. There are several picnic shelters perfect for large gatherings. Restroom facilities spread throughout the park. There are areas for disc golfing, softball, volleyball and also several large play areas for the younger children. The park is divided by a creek running through it, with the road going right through it. Water today was maybe 2 feet deep and moving along leisurely. Families with kids were walking and splashing up and down stream; a nice way to cool off. There are lots of picnic tables spread throughout, some with grills nearby. Bathroom was simple, with a dump toilet and hand sanitizer.
This is definitely a park that should be visited, especially on a hot day!

Stayed 2 nights at campground, nice facility with plenty of camping spots with electric and water hook up,tent camping area, restrooms can't say much about the showers because there's no hot water.
Plenty area for kids to play and a stream for trout fishing.

Gorgeous, extremely beautiful and clean park. A lot of separate areas for numerous groups to spend time. Serene walk along the waterway. Playground areas for children.

Great family camp ground. RV and tent sites. Electric is available. 5$ for firewood, sales end at 6 pm. Sites are reasonably priced. They have showers and a playground.

The work done here over the years is amazing. The restoration of the creek, and the grounds back to natural and native plants is beautiful. The facilities are great, and the on site ranger was a great guy to have available for the help. The conservation board was great and helpful through the process of planning a group outing, and made accommodations for us to be able to make it happen. Regular campers were around, and very friendly. As long as dogs are on leash and we’ll behaved, they are more than welcome. There was a random dog that was wondering through the night, but it looked as though it may have been a pet from a neighboring property. Only so much can be done in that regard. I cleaned out the fire pit when I arrived, to find trash, and a bunch of batteries that were buried in the ashes. Which is disheartening to see that guests of the park treat it that way, when so much care has been taken to upgrade it, and provide the opportunity to enjoy. Also a major highlight of the trip was the lightning show we got to experience, only negative was the 5” of rain, and slight risk of tornado. But I guess I’ll let the park off easy on the lack of control over the weather, because they made up for it in every other aspect.

I have been to Swiss Valley Park many times throughout the years, and to my relief, only a few things have changed. The happy atmosphere from family and friends meeting and spending time together is one thing that has remained the same. The creek that can be used for exploring and wading, the picnic tables, and camping spots are just as I remembered them. The park now hosts some additional playground equipment, volleyball nets, and remodeled restrooms. Swiss Valley Park continues to be a fun, safe, and family oriented favorite.

Now this place is a nice little park. Playground equipment, small stream nearby, plenty of parking. Great place for families and kids of all ages. Nearby is a campground and just down the street from a nature preserve. In my opinion, this place is great.

Love this little known county park. Camping at one end, picnic at the other. Trout creek and fun creek splash through. Kids live it. Bring bikes and skates, blanket, picnic, and snooze before driving on. I camped there several years ago and it was great, but I like small and quaint with quiet neighbors.

Beautiful place. Kid friendly. When we first got there we discovered a wasp nest in the playground. A DNR delt with it before I could get back with wasp spray from the van. Loved the stream over the 🛣 road.

Been here many times over the years, great location for a wedding party, high school or college graduation party, camping or just a few hours long getaway.
