Proving Grounds Recreation Area

Well-marked trails, nice picnic pavilion, primitive restroom. The mountain biking trails are phenomenal with routes for all skill levels.

Leashed pets welcome. Pretty, gentle hill with prairie and a view from the top. Restroom and pavilion. People in front of us saw a buck deer. Watch for mud after a rain.

Excellent walking and mountain bike trail, TMBR is a local mountain bike organization that takes excellent care of this park and is constantly building new trails and cool freatures

I love what they've done with the trails, looks great for mountain biking. I prefer basic hiking, so if you plan on walking, be extra mindful and watch for trails that are for bikes ONLY, as there are a few that way. Great as a new nature trail in the area though.

This place has some nice bike trails, one relatively flat and mild for beginners, and one has large jumps for the experts. Some in between. Nice pavillion, charcoal grill, and bathroom. New to mountain biking i am, and this place is very fun. Views of the Mississippi from the top. Highly recommend for off-roadbiking enthusiasts.

Scenic hiking trails & great mountain biking.

Great MTB trails, super fun to ride!! Signage could maybe have been a little better, but it was by no means terrible.

Ample parking, nice shelter for lunch, and bathrooms were available, nice touches for a MTB trail system!

This park has easy green trails, fun blue trails, challenging black diamonds, and killer red trials. one of the top midwest single track trail systems.

Great place to hike and (mountain) bike. Trails are super. No litter. Area is well- maintained. A great addition by the Dubuque County Conservation Board.

Superb downhill trails. Trails are designed mostly so that you take a wide ski trail up the hill and ride one of multiple routes down.

Kind of a small stacked loop type park but the trails are absolutely fantastic. Everything from flow and jump lines to super technical. Believe it when you see the experts only sign!

Great newer county recreation area. Several paths that are made for mountain biking and walking. Looking forward to how this area developed with use.

Awsome place the only down side is you go up a big hill too get too the trails
