Probably the most famous late night tavern in town. Great staff! Stop here for last call. Cold beer and cheeseburger’s.

Big game little prices. Lots of trophy mounts all enclosed in glass displays. Locals are friendly, the bartender/cook is quick with a drink and a hot hamburger. They are cooked in a cool little grill oven thing, that's a 100 yrs old. It tastes amazing.

Great little slice of old school blue collar Americana bar atmosphere! Best $4 cheeseburger Ive had in 20years! It was standing room only at 1pm on a sat - we drove in for cody jinks concert. I will come back.

A must stop for hamburger lovers. The history of their unique patty cooker, the taxidermy, and the laid back atmosphere make this an excellent stop for folks looking for the best burger in town. Perfectly seasoned burgers sitting in between pillowy buns is what you should expect when you have their burgers. This is a top 5 burger spot. Do not miss!

We just married here! I am from NH and chose this place. It was great! Nobody else do it! We were probably the only ones! Let's keep it that way. Beatrice was one of our witnesses. She was clutch and a truly amazing person. We wanted to buy her drinks but she refused and instead bought US drinks. Burgers were simple and yum, don't expect gourmet but if you want a no frills friendly dive, this place fits the bill.

This place is a classic in every sense of the word. The bar has a great old school vibe. There is a limited menu that is just right- burgers, hot ham & cheese! Good cold beer!!

There is a local there. Her name is Mia Maurer. If you’re run into her be careful she’s a con artist and scammer. She has a pretty smile and a little charm. Don’t let that fool you she scammed me out of many antiques, and other miscellaneous items don’t do business with her beware she claims she is an interior decorator and a antique expert BEWARE

Very kitschy, vintage beer signs, good ole Hamburgers, tuna salad ham and cheese nice selection of beers, seltzers and more. Good service and pretty laid back clientele.

I make it to Paul's several times a year. Can't beat the atmosphere for that classic bar feel. You gotta grab a burger...so good! Great place to have a cold one with friends.

If you want to see the old charm of Dubuque that you heard your grandpa talk about, this is your chance. It's a hidden gem among the downtown bars that try and give off the charm. Paul's just oozes retro cool. They have stuffed animals on the walls, and cold beer in the coolers. If it's busy you're going to have to meet a few people while you reach over them to get a fresh beer, but that's the cool part about it. You will meet new people, and they may turn out to be friends. It's fun and entertaining to say the least. Order your food, have a few drinks, and stay a while! You may have just found a new start off point for your group, a everyday go to neighborhood regular bar, or the best place in the city to have your nightcap. Try it, you won't regret it.

Best old school bar burger in Dubuque. They grill the onions and burgers on this little machine at the bar and trust me, it all works. No shortage of moose and deer heads.

Love stopping by Paul’s. Tiny hole in the wall but has some on the biggest personality. Very inexpensive burgers and beer. Very friendly staff also. Love this place.
