Awesome views of Bluff Lake and fresh fried all you can eat With perfect fish fry batter for the Sat night special Haddock. Will come back! My waiter Mary was extremely polite. Also, had a random guest cover my meal. Good people still exist.

Have heard about Bluff Lake for quite some time so decided to try it on the all you could eat shrimp and catfish night. The area around the restaurant is nice and somewhat scenic, and you can see a lot of it with the wait time to be seated, which was 1 hr and 15 minutes. The coleslaw was really good, as was the shrimp and catfish. My only complaint is the only type of French fries I like are waffle fries which come with the meal, however unfortunately they were the worst I have ever had. That being said the rest of the food made up for it.

Haven't been here in over 8 yrs. Brought back Some good memories coming back. I love the new look! Seen a few familiar faces. Still have great food, the ambience was live and exciting. We had the Catfish and the Chicken dinner. Just as I remember. My tummy was very satisfied. Keep up the great work guys. I'll be back!!

A great experience and the best prime rib you have ever had. Service was fantastic, prime rib was on the table within five minutes of being seated. I love the prime rib here, the fish is good too even though I don’t like fish.

The drive back is not real clear and sometimes you think you are on the wrong rode but keep going. Very pretty place with 2 ponds and a great restaurant. Sit on the patio, have a few drinks and watch the waterfall. Relaxing!!

Delicious food! If you go during a rush you can expect an hour wait but if there is a football game on then they tend not to be super busy... beautiful scenery makes the drive worth it no matter what the wait... you can feed the ducks and fish!

I've been coming here for over 30 years. Nothing more needs to be said. Best known/unknown place in Iowa. If you know, you know. Please be a first timer, or repeat offender. 10 stars all day.

Worth the drive. Went on a Saturday. We loved it. They served us fast and didn't disappoint. Food was excellent. We had the haddock. Nice place to try in the winter months for a little road trip.

Sunday Special for the win!! My girlfriend got the cod fish sandwich and if I had my fishing pole with me I would have snagged it from her! Delicious food as always and gorgeous views.

All-you-can-eat catfish served family style with waffle fries, coleslaw, and tartar sauce is the main draw. Friday night Prime Rib is thick and juicy. Beautiful lakeside setting near Maquoketa Caves State Park. Come early on Friday nights or be prepared to wait. Full bar available. Catfish available whole or in filets.

Very unique setting, we love it. They are usually filled above capacity so service can be spotty as I think they struggle with being understaffed but most of the time service is respectable.
We always get the special which changes each day. I recommend the Friday night special which is all you can eat catfish, coleslaw and waffle fries.
The quality of the Saturday night Haddock is not as consistent.

The food was amazing we had the chicken and shrimp special that came with Cole slaw and fries. All the food was hot fresh and delicious. The waitress was super nice. The building is beautiful. The drive there makes you wonder where your going but highly recommend it is worth the drive.

Beautiful ponds, waterfall, and lush grounds. Wait-staff is attentive and pleasant. You might have a bit of a wait to be seated, but you'll not leave hungry! Return-worthy?! Absolutely!
