Grid Iron Grill & Sports Bar

I'm in my 50s and fat, so I have had my fair share of burgers. I ordered the Blue Cheese Burger. It was the best burger I have ever had in my life. The burger was grilled and perfectly salty. It had a large chunk of blue cheese and sauce. I added sautéed onions. I ordered a side of waffle fries. They were wonderful. They are crispy coated and seasoned. AND their ranch is homemade. We will be going there once per week.
Update: The fatness has caught up with me. I can not eat carbs. So I ordered my burger without a bun, dinner salad, and the Key West veggies. Everything was great! What's nice is that instead of a steamed broccoli(boring), the veggie side was green beans and orange and yellow carrots. They were so delicious. I still go there once per week!
Let's talk about mushrooms. Typically, when you order breaded mushrooms, they are the same little button mushrooms with the same breading...soggy little eyeball things. But not here! They use a whole portobello mushrooms, chunk it, bread it, and fry. They are wonderful! And have I mentioned the ranch is homemade?
Michelin star, anyone?

Always an enjoyable visit. In all our visits I had never tried the Reuben. Waiting so long was my bad. The corned beef was piled high and ever so tender, it melted in my mouth. Just the right amount of sour kraut and dressing. All of it, pardon the pun, sandwiches between two slices of marbled rye that were toasted just right. I love a good Reuben, and they hit it out of the park. Everyone else in our party very much enjoyed their meals as well. Finally, the service was great, just as we have come to enjoy each time we are there.

We stayed at the AmericaInn Wyndham and the staff here told us about the Grid Iron because they deliver. We called and ordered 3 chicken dinners. Dinners arrived quickly. Food tasted amazing, I wish we had this place close to home! Everyone we talked with was nice and helpful!

Excellent, as always! Best service in town! I usually get the Bourbon burger or the Bourbon chicken salad. The Sunday buffet has a variety of food and does change from week to week. Go there for dinner and have food delivered, as well. The steak waffle nachos is awesome. I have not found anything I don't like. Everyone raves about the fried chicken.

First time there. Great service, great food. Pork loin sandwich would feed two and waa very good. Reasonably priced and very personal service.

I had the mushroom and swiss burger it was fantastic. My husband had the 4 piece chicken with loaded hash browns. He said it was some of the best food he's had. We had great service too!

Great food, but higher costs than we are accustomed to. We were visiting from KY to eat with our son.

Food was great....good first impression, waitress was very friendly and attentive.

What can I say, traditional small town American fare does not get any better. Flavorful ribeye, juicy breaded pork tenderloin and smothered hash brown potatoes. Take the leftover smothered potatoes home and for breakfast the next morning serve over a fried egg, yum!

We got a cheese burger to go and french fries. Both were delicious.

They make a tasty pork tenderloin sandwich. I had it with the baked bean side that I also liked.

Had a fantastic tenderloin and sweet potato fries. Being from the south, we don't get tenderloins, so this was a delicious treat. Service was wonderful too...staff very friendly and accommodating.

This is our favorite spot to stop and eat when traveling through this part of Iowa. They have it all - fast efficient service from very friendly and polite servers. The food is terrific and the prices are really good. They are always busy but we have never had trouble getting a parking space or a table. Well worth the few miles that you need to travel off Highway 20.

This time I got the mushroom Swiss burger cooked medium and I ALWAYS get the sweet potato fries, they are the best!!! We had a decent sized party and the waitress was great and we were able to sit and visit for a little while and didn’t feel rushed!!

They have wonderful food! I ordered a root beer float and it was huge. We each had a burger. Worth the short drive off of Hwy 20 to stop there!

Sat outside with my sweet dog and enjoyed a wonderful burger, fries, heath cheesecake and cherry mules. Wonderful!!!

Very nice restaurant with a wide variety to choose from (we have picky kids) The food taste homemade, which was a pleasant suprise. The fried pork tenderloin sandwich was amazing. My husband particularly liked the sweet potato fries with the marshmallow dip. Haven't been to the buffet at lunch yet, but definitely planning on it soon.

Visited for dinner on a Friday night. They were incredibly busy but the service was still amazing. The waitress we had (I wish I'd caught her name) was clearly busy but still gave superb service. Our food was out fairly quickly and met expectations. Price was a bit high but reasonable enough we will return.

Chipotle chicken wrap for the win!! Lunch was amazing the wrap and waffle fries were phenomenal! Great job and keep up the good work! From your friends and Town & Country Insurance!
