East Park

Just visiting MC and found this park. Pretty decent City park with the trails, water, fountain, tree cover, abundant grass, bandshell, castle park and the locomotive. There's also a pool and campground on the north side. The plentiful geese however seem to love the water and the sidewalks.

This is a beautiful place to visit the park next to it is super quiet and peaceful.

Love it here. EAST PARK has a couple different play grounds and shelter houses. There is also a train that sits on top of the hill. You can now rent motorized bicycles there.

We held our Krivohlavy family reunion today in one of the shelter houses. It was a beautiful mix of family, food, fun, and Frisbee golf. We urged the geese off the road to drive through and walked over the bridges of Winnebago River. There are deer in a pen we often try to feed or spot in the tall grass and plenty or swings and equipment for kids to run and play. Come winter it has the best sledding hill. There are plenty of music events and charitable event fund raisers, and weddings at the gazebo. It is a great place to fish and just relax.

We go to this park quite often when it's nice out! Always very clean and well kept! Great variety of playground equipment and stuff for the kids to do the whole time we're there!

Wow, what an awesome park! Its huge. Lots of little slides, swings and picnic shelters throughout the park. One big wood castle like park at the top of the hill. Winding river through the park was super cool too. Kids and I loved it.

Decent little park. My husband and I come to East park often in the summer. Sometimes we bring lunch and sometimes we just enjoy the park and do a little walking.

My kids love coming here, lots to do beautifully maintained, in my OPINION the best park around!

One of the best parks in the state. It had on e of the best play areas in any park plus many other attractions.

Even the playground in this beautiful park celebrates the town's historic, Prairie School, architecture aesthetic. WOW!

Always so much to see and do in East Park. Trains, bandshell, deer & wildlife, plus so many places with playground equipment, never a disappointment.

Beautiful park to play and have a family picnic or party at! The train is soooo cool! You can go inside it!

This place is a GEM! Beautiful park with a nice playground and a really cool train that any kid would love! The volunteers their are super nice and we really enjoyed our time here.

Such an amazing park for any event or venture. Disc golf course on the Northside of the park is a great pastime! Nice walking or riding trails that connect to the winnebago River trails! I would say the only downfall is the geese but hey what do you do... the gazebo has been used for many weddings!! Charcoal grills throughout the park! They even have a deer pen where many reside for viewing pleasure!!

East park is a great place to spend some time with the family and walk the dogs. Prarie playground is an especially nice spot to let the kids blow off some steam. I love taking my little boy there to let him be wild. The park department has done a great job maintaining and improving the park in recent years. I'm very grateful to have such a nice park so close to home.

Beautiful park with nice trails and plenty of space. Great place to take little ones to feel a bit closer to nature and spend the afternoon!

East Park is a gorgeous, underrated gem of Mason City! With great places to explore, watch the water fowl, stroll, picnic, disc golf, and play basketball (and on and on), it is one of my favorite spots in all of Iowa.

What an amazing park. There's something here for all age ranges! The old historic train, the beautiful landscaping and the enormous play areas for the kids too! That's right... Multiple play areas! Lots of areas to bring your picnic lunch also.
