Really neat place right on the Mississippi River. Within walking distance you can watch barges and their rugs go thru the lock. There is an old steam tug
on dry display that is a museum and for a small fee you can tour it. Well worth a stop.

I recently went here for my grandsons birthday party and had a picnic . Nice place to enjoy the boats on the river. It was nice and quiet on a hot summer day.

Had an awesome time walking down the lock bridge. And the rope pyramid was good fun for me and my daughter's. Lots of ducks and geese and an amazing view of the Mississippi River. Oh and the lock bridge gives an awesome view of the Keokuk Dam.

A, very nice view of the Mississippi River. You can fish from the rocks. There is a Stern Wheeler ship called the George M. Verity that can be toured during the summer months. In the fall and, winter you can go Eagle 🦅 watching.

Son's wedding was here - I remember when it was the only bridge across (toll $0.25 first - then I think it was $0.50) until it was replaced. I used to walk and bicycle across as a kid. They installed wooden planks over the open steel grate floor so it's not scary anymore.

I love sitting at the river front watching boats, birds, ducks. It's so peaceful. I go there every time I come home.

A great view to watch the river traffic up close. The bridge overlook is really close and there's a YouTube Webcam on the old bridge.

I saw a lot of fish waiting to be fed. Be sure to bring dog food so you can feed them. Some of the fish were huge. Great place to visit.
