The guy at the front counter really showed his passion for music. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. This was my first visit, it definitely won't be my last. He even ordered a CD for me to purchase when it arrives. I like disturbed, green day, and oomph!. Thank you for a great experience!

There aren't really many CD stores around, mostly vinyl, and even then, these stores of physical media are slowly fading from the threads of time.

This specific store, I've always driven past but not Till recently. (Month ago) visited.

I used to make the long trek to Moorehead for my quest of acquiring physical media, mainly CDs, up until the store closed, unfortunately.

Which ultimately lead me to Budget Music, locally in town here.

When you first enter the store, it feels like you're stepping back in time. The incense sets the mood, and it seriously feels like that your a kid, on the hunt for your favorite bands, back when CDs used to fill the walls and you couldn't help but admire some of the amazing album art. That's what I feel, each time I step into that store. I can only imagine the feelings that stir for those who grew up with Vinyls and how those music stores were for them, back in the day.

This place is a safe haven for music lovers of all sorts, they might be a tish pricey but I've seen worse, so to me, in my own opinion, their prices aren't that half bad, they also have specials for each day and even a stamp program, which I highly recommend.

The staff seem pretty friendly and knowledgeable. It's fun to strike up a conversation about a band or two.

Hours aren't of operation aren't bad and they even buy used CDs, depending on the artist and album.

They sell other things too, not just music, but things like piercings or whatnot.

I won't spoil it too much, I highly highly, recommend checking out this store and exploring this place on your own. It's for sure worth it, I assure you!

Store was clean. Items organized and easy to find. Sales Rep was pleasant and helpful. Face masks are optional while in store wanting customers to be comfortable during their experience shopping. Will definitely encourage others to visit.

Shop was great on its own but CeNedra here was so amazing here! She really took the time to help me search for what I was looking for (I had a list of LP 33s i was looking for) and made some great recommendations. If you're looking for a great shot to find vinyl at, look no further!

I love this place. Has new released cds and everything in-between. I am still a cd collector so it's my go to place. I live 2hrs away and always make it my for sure stop in town.

Every time I go to buy a new or used CD, get a CD fixed so it doesn't skip, or get a piece of jewelry everyone who works there is very helpful and nice. The atmosphere is very nice and has a mellow retro feeling to it. Great place to go!

If they dont have they can order it. Definitely not a bubbly place "attitude wise" But it's a throw back and they managed to open after the initial covid 19. I order vinyls from them. And they actually come pretty fast. And I purchased a record player from my girlfriend. I like this place and hope it stays open.

I love having a place around to sift through physical copies and see album art when you're looking to try something new. I still like adding to my CD collection and holding the leaflet, to really take in the whole artistic concept beyond recording a music file. Bonus that you can stock up on incense without getting carded haha!

Great classic music store, great selection with a great clerk who helped me find what I wanted. Not to mention great priced music. They offered CD's, Cassette, and especially Vinly(LP)(old and represses) along with rock and classic country music.

Grand Forks is lucky to still have such a fine record store. They carry lots of Record Store Day exclusives, if you missed out on something elsewhere. Big selection of used CDs and vinyl, plus plenty of new indie album releases! I'm not a local but I make sure I visit Budget every time I'm in town!

So many records! Super cool girl helped me named Sara. She was very enthusiastic, helpful and knowledgeable with every music genre imaginable. I bought records, stickers, some video dvd's and even some incense from their huge selection

I went again this year to Record Store Day.
They had what I was looking for plus a couple other finds. They are the best!!
