Vortex Souvenir

The awesome gift shop of Delano, just west of the clock tower roundabout on Douglas. Here is an absorbing collection of books, clothing, and various treasures that represent the surrounding area perfectly, with the special occasion cards and Wichita items I’ve never seen before being a couple favorite finds of mine. Extremely interesting set up inside that is highlighted by an old school pinball machine that has been modified to rep ICT. There’s also the new video rental program that has a nice selection of DVD’s and VHS tapes, which I plan on trying in the very near future. Finally, the staff was incredible to speak with and offered welcoming and friendly service. I highly recommend that everyone experience a visit to Vortex.

I was a visitor in Wichita and wanted to bring gifts home to friends. My son who lives in the area was volunteered by my daughter in law to drive me around to gather items. We went to the airport thinking that was a easy shopping trip. I almost bought a plane ticket to get to the shopping area. I was talked out of that idea. We visited 6 other stores. Nothing.. no tornado items, no Wichita memories to be found. A sales person from Target directed us to here.. it's unique , love this shop. I found several items to purchase. We had a few laughs there also.

The best place in Wichita for local trinkets and thoughtful gifts. Plus they have a secret video rental shop in the back.

What a cool shop!!!! Make sure you play the pinball machine next time you stop in.

We are locals, my 12 year old asked to check this shop out. We were pleasantly surprised at the fun merchandise that matches the exciting window decor. We then had an opportunity to meet the owner who was so gracious and made our visit even more memorable by gifting my daughter a vortex souvenir sticker she picked out among others she purchased. We look forward to going back regularly and hope visitors and locals will check it out too!!

I rush to Vortex every time I come back to ICT. It always has great stuff, local themed things, and the staff are so nice and helpful. It’s forever one of my first stops!!

Neat store with inviting staff. Scored some local art (ashtray reminiscent of Van Gogh's smoking skeleton) and had fun browsing the inventory. Free play pinball machine was a bonus that come to find out was refurbed by the owner. Funk music was playing and the store gives off a groovy vibe. Cool place to check out.

A local gem with intriguing finds! Hard to resist ever leaving without something! Staff is super nice and they always seem to have lots of little freebies and buttons up front. If you’re looking for unique gifts, books, art, home decor or something that will make you laugh, look no further. Keep on being awesome!

This place is so under-rated! We purchased a Ghostbusters Golden Book for my son. They have a little bit for everyone in the store. I like the unique adult coloring books. The free pinball machine was a hit as well!

Anyone can find a unique trinket here! Was walking down the street and popped in and glad we did. Got a fun kids book and some awesome stickers. Great vibes and energy in this place worth a stop for sure!

Adorable little shop with all sorts of positive, quirky goodies. Great for informal gifts and decor. Employee was super nice! They also had local stuff available and are accepting and kind ♥

What a great group of people. Very willing to help in any way they can and even offered to ship an item to me as I have limited time to stop by the store. They have a fun selection of odd ball commodities that are excellent and funny substitutions for everyday items. Vortex souvenirs goes above and beyond to provide great customer service and I highly recommend stopping by their store.

Coolest and most laid-back souvenir shop I've been to in the Wichita area. The sales associate, Sam, was very friendly and accommodating. Lots of locally made and hand craftes gifts. Definitely a good place to buy good quality homemade candles that are very affordable.

Loaded with high-quality, locally-made goodies, this amazing and artsy store is an experience in itself. Soak in the wraparound mural that crawls through the space, play the Wichita Wizard pinball game, or try your luck at winning a prize at the checkout by asking the vintage machine at the register for good advice or bad advice. All the products are carefully curated and amazingly unique. Definitely worth a stop... Or three.

Vortex is a local retailer that exudes the artistic vibe of Wichita. They stock a variety of interesting art, books and Wichita-centric goods like t-shirts and stickers. Owned by artists, the ambience is an explosion of creativity. The owners are very knowledgeable about the artists they feature. I put this place right up alongside The Workroom and Lucinda’s as must visit shops in ICT.

Work right next door and really have to stop myself from going too much, I always find something awesome that I have to buy. My last buy was a Sudoku with balls board game
