Love love, LOVE my haircut thanks to Tara!! Any surrounding areas I HIGHLY recommend Vivacious and more so Tara. I will definitely be coming back again, thank you SO much Tara! You are amazing, and so warm and friendly!

It’s been awhile since I got my hair done, and honestly it was the best decision I made going to Vivacious. Lydia and Tara are the best and while I’m here I will continue to go to them. They helped my hair look beautiful again and healthy!! I definitely recommend them for anyone! I have a hard time feeling comfortable in salons and they had me cracking up and feeling so comfortable there! Great experience! Definitely a 10/10!!!

I got my hair cut at another local salon and the stylist completely butchered my hair. I was crying and posted a review on the local Facebook review page. Tara reached out to fix my hair. I was extremely nervous to trust someone else. When I got there, Tara was super sweet and the salon was so friendly and “home-y” feeling. She looked at my hair and couldn’t believe the cut. She talked me through everything she was doing, showed me what she was doing, asked if there was anything I wanted or any changes to be made. She took every concern I had and went above and beyond my exceptions. Even though I’m so upset my long hair is gone (from other stylist) I’m glad this experience lead to me to Tara & Vivacious Hair Salon! I will be going back in a few months for a trim! I honestly was tearing up when I left because I couldn’t believe how great my hair looked! BEFORE & AFTER photos.

Don't let one bad review steer you away!! Being dual military it is always hard starting over & takes a very times to find the right place. This was my third place I tried. I will say I called and spoke to Tara and told her everything and the problem I was having. She listened completely to my story and gave me a few different options. One of the options was a Malibu Makeover. I decided that would be the best thing to try first. She was upfront about everything it would do. She didn't steer me into buying product while I was in the salon we talked about the products I was using and she explained they was good products I just was using them incorrectly. When finished my hair felt so smooth, my scalp could breathe. I did not have the wax feeling on my hair. The shine was all natural and not oily shine. My husband loved it and even notice how clean my scalp was the moment he looked at my hair and felt it. The price I paid was well worth it. Especially, since Tara had to also fix the cut from a previous salon that butchered the back. I will be using Tara for the time that we are stationed here at Ft. Riley. Tara, is passionate about her job she is upfront from the start which I love. ❤ I have attached a before🤮, the white clumps is all build up that was on my hair 🤮 then the afterwards.

I went to see tara because another hairstylist really messed up my hair. Tara fixed it and i love it! I felt like she was really thinking about how she can fix my hair and make me happy with the end result. I felt so comfortable with her and just love what she did with my hair!

vivacious hair salon is a 10/10 there's no other HAIR SALON you'll feel so heard loved and respected. I went there for my first time, and the owner and her other stylist there were so chill yet profesional it did not feel like my first time at all. I wouldn't say I had high hopes but I was just hoping not to come out crying looking worse than when I walked in.. but let me tell yall shee made me feel like a MODELLL. Literally the best hair I've ever had in my life. The cut, the style, the color, the shine the bodyyy all of it was perfection. And all I kept saying was omg I'm so pretty. If you're reading this I'm telling you I've never felt soo beautiful. Its crazy what a good hair-do will do for your confidence. Now I see the hype guys have about a nice hair cut because I felt ✨INVINCIBLE ✨ not to mention she did all this and kept me feeling calm since I was on a super tight schedule. I had to pick up my boyfriend that day I almost said forget the color just give me a quick trim because I didn't think I could have it all done in time. Reguardless she assured me that shes got me and im so glad I trusted her and found her salon if I had move to another state (I'm in the military) I would literally take a four day to fly back and get my hair done. She truly has a magic touch. Please ladies don't settle for less you deserve to experience this luxurious salon. YOU WONT REGRET IT just look at my hair !!

This was my first time coming to this salon so I walked in without making an appointment(sorry 😅) but Tara managed to make time for me and she was so hospitable to me on making my experience great! I came for a trim and I love my hair! So gorgeous! Definitely would come back! 👍🏼

I had a wonderful experience, this was my first time getting a haircut this short and my first time dying my hair, I was supper nervous about it but Mrs. Tara and the other girls where supper sweet and made me feel welcome. Mrs. Tara did an amazing job and I loved it for my first time I had a wonderful experience and my hair turn out supper cute and beautiful. Definitely recommend this place.

I was a bit nervous to try someplace new, it's been a couple of years that I had a trim/haircut (I recently moved). When I got there, Lindsey greeted me and was super sweet and friendly. She looked at my hair, asked me what I wanted and showed me what she was doing every step of the way, asked me if I was okay with my cut. I felt relaxed from beginning to finish. The ladies who where in the salon where extremely welcoming to begin with. I was afraid to try a new salon but I am in LOVE with the highlights I got done. Its like Lindsey read my mind and knew exactly what I wanted. This will be my go to salon from now on! ❤💆‍♀

Wow! This place is great. The exterior is adorable, but the interior is even better! I loved the personal touches. It felt like home! It smelled great (from what I could smell through the mask), it looked great, and it just felt so inviting and clean. Tara invited me in, and was very thorough in understanding what I wanted with my hair. She was very personable, easy to talk to, and flexible as we talked about my hair and how we could tweak the original idea to make it even better. I loved her insight! Tara was enthusiastic, fun, and professional, while still making it feel like I was visiting with a good friend--and we had just met today! I definitely recommend Tara if you're wanting a great hair experience!

An excellent salon in every way. I am temporarily using a walker and the staff was very helpful in making it easy for me to access the business.
My stylist actively listened to what I wanted in a haircut and made helpful suggestions that resulted in a look that I really like.
I will definitely be back again.

Tara always does a fantastic job. I always leave feeling like a new person. She has such a great personality and instantly makes you feel welcome. She is very dedicated. She takes the time to explain what she's doing. I appreciate that she does cause I've learned a lot. Her salon is beautiful. I enjoy every detail. Just when I thought I've seen it all, I see something else to admire. The salon atmosphere is great. Everyone is friendly and they have great teamwork. Thank you for all you do.

In LOVE with my hair again! Tara is a gem! She's such a fun, spunky person! She listened to exactly how I wanted my haircut, and asked questions throughout the process to make sure I was getting what I wanted (length, texture, layers, etc) It ended up better than I had anticipated!

I have never had an experience before like I had with Tara at Vivacious Hair Salon and Spa today! I was going from medium length hair to chopping it all off. She sat and talked with me for a full 30 minutes before she did any cutting going through pictures, asking questions, and making sure that we were on the same page. She took her time and walked me through every step. She was open to my honest opinions and changed directions as we saw would work best. She was fun and spunky and kind. I was there for two hours and it felt like no time at all. Also, there were two other gals in the salon (mother and daughter) getting some color put in their hair and the results were truly stunning. It was a great experience!!

Let me tell you ..I have been in this town long enough to know and assure you that Tara has a gift with colors..omg she is the most professional, caring person I know. She listens to her clients and gives them the most honest advice she can. I have been to other places to do my hair because she was booked, as always, and NO ONE can do a better job than Tara Johnson. SHE LOVES what she does! So trust me all those 5 star reviews you see is because she is a good professional hair stylist!

Tara Johnson at Vivacious Hair Salon in Junction City is amazing! I moved from out of state and am really picky about hair color since I change mine a lot. Tara always finds just the right color even if she has to create a color. I would highly recommend her! Thank you Tara for your wonderful personality and style! ♥

Tara is an amazingly talented hairdresser. I needed a very special haircut to my very special 1940s look, and it's a haircut that not many hairdressers are familiar with anymore. I brought her a diagram and explained what the cut should look like. She listens to every single request and makes sure you're happy with the cut as it's coming along. She's a great conversationist and makes the experience and final results worth every single penny. So glad I found this lady!
