Brown Memorial Park

This park has been a part of my family history. My mom, myself, my kids and my grandkids have all enjoyed this place through the years

Awesome padded ground under the play equipment.

There is a creek to explore, an updated play set, picnic table and asphalt walking path. It's perfect.

This place is filled with a lot of fun stuff. Slides, swings and climbing nets that are unique amongst other fun activities. There is also a picnic Hut to sit and eat. There is a walking trail. During some parts of the year they have a bathroom. There are trash cans. It has a tennis court and a lot of grassy space to play. It's usually not busy. I love it, it's one of my favorite parks to go to.

For being a brand new setup there the little walking trail is nice, but I wish it was a bit bigger. My kids (11,10,6) are addicted to it, because it's not just standard equipment. All climbing and moving. It's a very neat concept that keeps them busy. The creek bed on the back side is fun for walking around as well!

Very secluded, lots of privacy to enjoy a really nice short walking trail. We had to avoid Zero people,Or you can step off onto the grass trail that is along the line of trees that overlook a really pretty creek bed that is designed to slow the water to help prevent flooding . Really really cool in itself. Nice little bridge that crosses over to the other neighborhood thats really pretty as well. Small tennis court that would be great for kids and a small basketball court as well, right next to a good sized small parking lot next to the businesses right there or there are a few parking spaces right on the street too. So good options if you dont want like one of the parking places you can go to the other.

Best park in my general area & so many major improvements. Wish tennis court was still there but, I'll never forget my first kiss back in 84' with Angie Wright. Lol!!! My son loves the park and the equipment. He never seen the old-school stuff & the creek running through the middle. Amazing improvements...

The place has really turned out very nice after all these years.
I played there as a kid & now it's so much nicer & a lot safer.

It's a nice park. Small, but well equipped.

Purely delighted to see my old playground completely refurbished & the creek moved. So much more room for families to have fun & the basketball court is still there but still needs some help.
My 10 Yr old son & I were very disappointed that the tennis court was torn out (how many 8,9,10 yr olds do you know that actually love tennis) but they did set up a real nice pavilion totally accessible sun up to 10pm. Electricity provided for parties & such through Parks & Recreation of Merriam @ the Irene B. French "Community center." The old Kansas City Christian school & Merriam Park school from many many moons ago. Nice people & the new fanatic game "Pickle Ball" is supported within the old gym inside.
Merriam is stepping its game up & the area looks really nice now & we are pretty well protected by the Merriam Police Department...within their limitations but still go above & beyond in some situations.

Quiet place for lunch. Loved seeing joggers on the trails. Clean, beautiful playground.

Park was clean, large picnic area, abd a lot of kid equipment to play on..

Cool playground! The only drawback was it was in FULL SUN with no shade. The ground was hot, hot, hot.
