The chicken was moist, tender, and delicious! My granddaughter enjoyed the mashed potatoes and gravy. My son enjoyed his hamburger with French fries and fried potatoes.

First off the staff was awesome! Gage was our waiter and he was super cool and helpful. He wasn't overly around but came by at the right time. The food was amazing. I love fried chicken and this place makes it just like homemade. Nice, fresh, fried to order. My wife had a leg and thigh. I had the chicken fried chicken breast… was awesome. Much better than Guss’ fried checken

The food was delicious! I had catfish with old-fashioned mash potatoes and green beans with gravy. My husband had the chicken fried chicken, and he also said his meal was yummy. I love the way the served side dishes in separate plates. That way, we all can share.

Really, a gem in a good side city. Prices are good too.

It's amazing! Served family style, so you can keep getting more potatoes, green beans, & gravy! The chicken is pan fried..so it comes out hot! It's definitely worth the wait! I always get the 3 breast meal!( $21.99 ) At the end of your meal, they bring out cinnamon rolls! They're not your traditional cinnamon rolls....which is awesome! No matter how full you maybe...you'll eat one 🤣 They've got other menu items..but I'm here for the chicken! Pre-meal you get homemade chicken noodle soup or salad. Get the soup! The staff is very friendly, & luckily they weren't very busy! It was my dad's birthday, & he loved it!

Hands down one of the best places to eat in KC. It has won many awards and rightfully so. Wonderful down home American food. Absolutely delicious. Great atmosphere and good customer service.

No one in Boston can make Country Fried Steak, mashed potatoes, gravy and green beans like Stroud's. So my family indulges me when I visit. Of course, there is their slogan 🤣

Relaxing atmosphere. The chicken pot pie was solid. Very tasty and good size portion. Cinnamon rolls were good but not exactly what I was expecting since was just roll with some sugar cinnamon on it. Not the typical.

Marla was the best server ever!! She was so helpful with her suggestions when ordering and quick to check on us! Marla always made sure our drinks were full. Then the food was amazing and topped off with a cinnamon roll. Highly recommend this place.

Stopped in and had a fantastic meal! The chicken noodle soup was a tasty starter. Then the main course came out and the gravy was phenomenal as always! The fried chicken was juicy and the green beans were super! The food is always top notch but honestly I could sit there and just eat mashed potatoes and gravy. The cinnamon rolls for dessert were fresh and hot. Our service was great and the take home portions gave me another meal, which makes me happy. Stroud's is a special kind of restaurant that just hits the right spot in your stomach.

Stroud's just started a special on Fridays with ribs. Those ribs are some of the best tender ribs I've ever had. The ribs come with green beans, potatoes (your choice of fries, cottage fries, mashed potatoes with gravy or baked potatoes), soup or salad and the bbq sauce is perfect! Hopefully they will make it a permanent item on the menu

Hands down the best gravy, pork chops, chicken, and real mashed potatoes! Delicious family style sides. Love the green beans cooked with ham hocks...so good. Plus the kids liked the children's menu and coloring with crayons. We all had a great time!

A great traditional family style chicken restaurant. It is a tradition for my wife’s family when they get together in KC. Food is good and plentiful. Chicken is really good and the mashed potatoes are great. Also the cinnamon rolls at the end are good.

They had some very good chicken. Their homemade cinnamon roll is kinda iffy but it's pretty good at a late night when you need something sweet. Soup was wonderful, Friday last week felt like a soup day and it was perfect.

I enjoyed my most recent visit. Our food was great, and the waitress was consistently on the ball with keeping drinks filled.

Their fried chicken dishes are all excellent, however we were surprised at how good the salmon was.

I highly recommend coming here.

Best fried chicken ever. I went by myself, but they still serve sides family style. I will be bringing my family the next time we're in town.

If you’re craving fried chicken, Stroud’s is the place to go. Their chicken is absolutely delicious. In my opinion, it’s the best in KC. And don’t get me started on their gravy or I might never stop singing its praises. Their house made ranch is a gift from the salad dressing gods. Everything is served family style; which makes it feel like a good ol’ family dinner. And their servers are so friendly. When you’re here, you’re family. Sorry Olive Garden, but your experience doesn’t hold a candle to Stroud’s.

We have been at this location two times in the last few months. We went with family members both times. Great service. Great food. Large portions. I had the chicken fried chicken. We tried the liver/gizzard meal with gravy (too large for any human to consume). Sides are unlimited. Cinnamon rolls are included- but additionals are 90 cents each. Madison, our server, was exceptional!
