A quaint little nature get away. The tree houses are super cute. (We stayed in the serenity one.) It was quiet, peaceful, and the tree house had many small and personal touches. This is a small family run business and you can really tell by how personable they are. Stan met us for check in and they gave us phone numbers if we had any questions or concerns. We definitely plan on coming back!

For anyone wanting to get away from kids and enjoy the great outdoors in peace, in a unique place, then Hidden Valley Retreat is where you need to go! A little piece of heaven on earth! The treehouses are equipt with many of the things you need such as toiletries and cooking supplies. Stan and Denise have worked hard to make this place special for their guests! We can't wait to go back!

This is our second year in a row coming here for our anniversary. Last year we stayed in Graham’s Treehouse, this year we rented out Serenity and are just as blown away as last time! Absolutely 100% would recommend any time to anyone!!!! Denise & Stan are incredible Air BnB hosts. We’ll be back next year for sure!

We stayed in Stan and Denise's tree house and it was magical! Peace, quiet, serenity, tranquility, and privacy (something 5 kids doesn't allow for often) all wrapped in one. This is an adults only airbnb so the escape was very nice. We enjoyed the 3 seasons porch, hiking on the trails, hot tub and local restaurants 15 minutes away. Check it out if you need an idea for an anniversary or birthday getaway!

I highly recommend hidden Valley properties. It is very peaceful and puts one back in touch with nature. My girlfriend and I found it to be very rejuvenating and a wonderful place to just kick back and relax. The owners are extremely sociable and pleasant. It’s a great place to walk around in nature and enjoy the screened in porches. Book early because there’s a lot of demand!

Denise and Stan are terrific hosts. Before our visit, their communications with us were timely and provided all the information needed to prepare for our stay. When we arrived, we were greeted warmly. We stayed in Graham's Tree house. Wonderful place, cozy, warm, and as advertised, peaceful. The walking trails are a great way to start the day.
Later in the day we took a the short drive to Atchison, visited the Amelia Earhart museum and crossed over to Missouri and took in Bluffwoods Conservation trails for some more hiking.
We had a great time, and will make a return visit in the near future. Again, thanks Denise and Stan!

This is a beautiful place to get away from it all. This is our second time staying here we love it. If you are coming to the Kansas City/Leavenworth area it is definitely worth checking out. Make reservations because they fill up early.

This place is wonderful. We can't say enough about it. We've stayed at the retreat 5 times now. We've stayed in all 3 treehouses and the suite. This past visit was our 10 year Anniversary. We always stay in the Fall, for the changing of the leaves. This year, we renewed our vows on the covered bridge. Perfect weather and the retreat served as the perfect back drop. 5 star accommodations and 5 star for hospitality. Denise and Stan are wonderful people. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a weekend getaway without venturing to far from home. We travelled from Texas. Stayed at the Whispering Elms for 2 nights and by far one of the best times ever; the tree house is amazingly clean, neat and very cozy! The fireplace is at the start of a hike through their amazing trail nature walk. You cant find many of beautiful trails like this in the state. The host (Denise) is so welcoming and did an amazing preparation for our arrival, she made us felt welcoming right away, and she immediately got us immersed into this nature-retreat vibe setting. She received us very kind, understanding and always value and respect guests’ privacy and getaway experience! Denise and Stan are doing top-notched customer satisfaction that when we left, we kept talking about the excellent customer service that Denise & Stan are doing! We will absolutely share this experience and recommend this place to our networks.

This was a wonderful escape from the city, but only a few minutes away from Leavenworth. The "treehouse" we stayed in was small but very cozy & had everything we needed. We enjoyed relaxing and hiking & the owners were very accommodating. We will definitely go again!

My Husband recently gifted me a stay here for early birthday gift. As he will have major back surgery day before my actual birthday. I Cannot say enough GREAT things about our stay ! Darling little tree house (Serenity Creek Treehouse) ! It had everything you could ask for. Very Clean, Comfy and Quiet (from people) Sounds and smells of nature ! We took some Amazing pictures and Shared some Much needed Quality time away. The owners are over the top AMAZING !! Their Guest Care is Exceptional ! Talk about a Hidden Gem <3 Many Thanks and Huge Kudos to the Owners !! (By the way Owners >>> Rose Pedals, Birthday sign and gift box of "Goodies" were a Wonderful touch :) Thank You ! )

Do you need to get away? This is the place to do it. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, has been thought through to make your stay comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable. All the tools you need in the kitchen, the grill, the hot tub, to fully take advantage of your time there. The owners are personable and outgoing - but respect your privacy. We stayed in the Whispering Elm house... perfect size with plenty of screened-in, outdoor seating as well as chairs outside. BTW, take advantage of the hiking trails. We will be booking another weekend there.

The child inside of me LOVES the idea of a treehouse for adults. The Whispering Elms delivered. Every detail is carefully thought through. Every bit of space is designed to be useful and comfortable. It all comes together to create an enchanting atmosphere. My favorite part was sitting on the screened in porch at night with the flood lights illuminating the tree canopy making it look other-worldly. That and occassional subtle feeling of swaying when sitting in the recliner watching a movie. My friend and I have already scheduled another, longer stay!

I've stayed here 3 times before with my husband but this time, I brought along 3 friends for a girls' weekend! We had so much fun and enjoyed the beauty of Whispering Elm treehouse, the hot tub and hiking in the woods. They are all well maintained, very clean, you have everything you need, very relaxing. Stan and Denise make you feel right at home! Excellent host & hostess. Highly recommend it. Looking forward to the next time my husband and I come! Thank you for making it so special for us!

My husband and I stayed three nights in the Graham Treehouse. I can’t really express enough how much we enjoyed our stay. The Treehouse was so clean and very well thought out. We spent most of our time on the back screened in porch. The views are amazing. The sounds of nature surround you. Denise and Stan were awesome hosts but didn’t intrude on us in anyway. We loved the hot tub. The bed was so comfortable. We enjoyed the towns of Leavenworth and Atchison. We already are planning to go back. Thank you Denise and Stan.

I stayed at the Serenity Creek Treehouse at the Hidden Valley Retreat for the second time this past week. I came for the first time last October and loved it so much I had to come back! Denise and Stan the owners are wonderful, accommodating, and kind people who have created such a lovely, calming, and peaceful place to come relax. The treehouse is so clean and cozy! It is the perfect place to come rest and reset. I highly recommend this place and will definitely come back again!

This is an amazing little known secret retreat that needs to be experienced. The suite is luxurious, and the treehouse apartments look delightful. Like a Storybook getaway. Lengthy and lovely walking paths through an adjoining woodsy area. Very quiet and relaxing. Adults only and no pets, so it's a great opportunity for couples to have a romantic reconnect. The owners live onsite, are very friendly and responsive to needs but are otherwise unseen and take your privacy seriously. They made it a point to personally greet us on arrival and be sure our needs were met. Lovely communal hot tub with private reservation times. We plan to make this an annual romantic escape.

Absolutely incredible treehouse experience. A quiet, relaxing weekend away with the hubs to celebrate our birthdays. Hosts are super friendly. They give you all the privacy you want while also checking in to make sure your stay is exactly what you want. Local eatery's were amazing!! Lots of options for locally owned restaurants of all kinds in Leavenworth. We WILL be back. Cant wait to experience the other treehouses the retreat has to offer next time!!

We had a fantastic long weekend in Courtney's Cottage. It was just right for us and we were able to relax. It was less than an hour and a half from home, and Stan and Denise were perfect hosts. We enjoyed the hiking trails and doing absolutely nothing. We look forward to returning soon.

My wife and I stayed in Graham’s Tree House this weekend. Sadly we could only stay two nights. Beautiful tree house with everything you need and great trails, in a perfect location! Loved everything about it. Will be back, this may be a new tradition.
