Homer's Drive In

This is 100 percent a breakfast place . They have great and fast breakfast service.
Biscuits and gravy with hasbrowns and eggs is usually the go too and it never disappoints.
As far as lunch and dinner I wouldn’t necessarily recommend unless you avoid the burgers.

Homer's classic was easily the best burger I've had in the Leavenworth and even greater Kansas City area. Apple pie ala mode was also excellent. Service was very fast, friendly and professional. The inside doesn't appear to have been redecorated in several decades, but I love classic diner charm!

Good! was yummy and place was super cute! My kids, 2yo and 1 yo, ate all their food with no complaints :) most of the people in there just seemed kind, small town everyone knows everyone kind of vibe.

They did have one couple that made us very uneasy and I couldn’t tell if this was normal or if everyone was a bit on edge. The lady was like shaking in the booth like she was on something not like she was scared. the man kept walking In and out and to the bathroom over and over again. He did this no joke like 10 times it made me uncomfortable. But that is not anything Homers could control.

Homers is one of the better places in Leavenworth. It is old time Grill and it is very good. It’s reasonably priced and if you go on the off-peak hours, it’s very quiet and you can talk without having to yell and everybody can hear you. It’s a wonderful place to eat. It’s definitely old time hamburger and fries. My wonderful wife described them as big juicy hamburgers with everything on them. Really a great place to eat.

Love a good breakfast and Homer's Drive In does it right. All of the normal breakfast staples and no complaints about any of what we ordered. Pancakes are the same taste and texture as McDonald's. Not a huge place so don't bring a large group.

Classic diner with an old time feel and the food is delicious! My only complaint is that some of the staff are rude and make you feel guilty for asking for a refill or questions on the menu. Otherwise, great place to eat! Will definitely go back! Been going to it on occasion for years!

As the sign says, old school . This place took me back to my younger years when my dad took me to our local hamburger place. Decor is like the show ( Happy Days ). I ordered the Homer classic with onion rings , and my wife ordered the bacon and cheese and fries. The patties are old school. They are made locally and delivered chilled, not frozen. So if you want an authentic hamburger give this place try.

5 years later and the atmosphere is still very cozy! The service is refreshing and relaxed - I love seeing people's coffee mugs being filled by the waitress walking around with a coffee pot. The Coca-Cola decor and red benches and checkered floor are cute and nostalgic.
The food is hot, delicious, and filling! The hashbrowns aren't as crispy as I like, but they were fully cooked and still delicious. I asked for white gravy with the biscuit and it came in a seperate bowl so i could choose my portion - delicious! The hot cocoa is very sweet and comes in a cute mug. The three-cheese omelet I got I could add anything I wanted (for extra charge) - I chose mushrooms, onions, green peppers, and bacon. The cheese wasn't melted as much as I usually prefer but the flavors were so good I didn't care!

I walk in and are immediately teleported into the 50s. The atmosphere is great as is the food. Wait time was unexpectedly quick. Overall great experience, definitely recommend!

Classic old-fashioned burger & fries place, but so much more!!! If I lived near this restaurant...I would practically move in. Two thumbs way up from this foodie!!!

Ended up coming here because the place my husband and I wanted to go to originally was closed, but we are glad we did! The food was yummy, quick, and the service was good. The chocolate malt there was the best malt I’ve ever had! The price was good too!

When looking for an old school road side diner, Homer's is it! Cool retro decor small eating area. Good service, and food served timely and hot. Fresh! I really liked the onion rings. I didn't try a dessert or malt, which is what I'll be doing on my next trip through Leavenworth. Great history here! Will be back.

This place rocks! It's a traditional diner with limited seating, but certainly not limited on flavor. Their single patty burgers are pretty standard and are priced well. The real gems are the ice cream sodas, and the double patty homers special. You can't beat the hometown friendly service and informing atmosphere!

Old school and real malt too! Nice country drive and yeah you need to experience, especially if you miss a good old fashioned burger fries and actual malted too! Do it..

This was an unexpected trip and stopped in this little diner. Saw a bowl of chili on a table as we entered. Now chili is either good or bad. But took a chance and it was so good! Just like homemade and not too spicy. My spouse had the Frito salad and it was great too. Tried the chocolate and coconut pie. Very good as well. So happy it's simple old exterior didn't keep us from stopping here!

Quality, classic diner food. Good milkshake. My friend loved the coffee. Friendly staff.

Can’t beat the history of this place! Been there since 1931 for a reason.

This was a fun, intimate little restaurant! The food was great. The ambiance perfect, and the staff delightful 😊
