Cliff was amazing! He was patient and kind to my 2 year old that was getting only his second haircut ever. Cliff didn't get upset when my son moved or was upset in the beginning. He even talked to my son throughout telling him how well he was doing. 10/10 would recommend

I have been to many places in the world, one of the hardest things for an African American with hair like mines is finding a barber who knows how to PROPERLY cut your hair and not botch or set you back. That day, I was new to Kansas and knew I was going to have a problem finding the right barber, I visited three barber shops with this one being the third that day, I was vetting these barber shops trying to find the right one, you can look at a barber, the demographics of the people he/she are cutting and the pace of the shop to know if they have what "you" need.

For me personally who have been messed up numerous times trying to give benefits of a doubt, I was highly skeptical of the first two shops I looked at and ended up at this shop where I saw a full house mostly with people with my hair and haircuts I saw that actually looked crisped and sharp. The barbers there looked like they knew the business and weren't just pushing clients out like some of the other barber shops I've seen from time to time. High quality cuts from places like this, your going to easily wait a good while if you don't have an appointment, but barber shops like this ALWAYS make that wait worth it when you come out that shop killing the game, just look the pictures of my hair cut.

South Leavenworth is my favorite location. Although North side isn't bad. South side is where they keep three heavy hitters. You can't go wrong with any of them, Darnell, David or Mason. They all take pride in there work and are very friendly people. I won't go anywhere else to get my haircut.

First City Barbershop consistently provides the most professional service I've ever had! Darnell is our guy but all the barbers are great. Their appointments are on time and they give great cuts no matter who you are. Keep up the great work fellas!

Never been here before and called a few hours ahead of time to see if I could be fit in. They were kind enough to get me in at the end of the day. Was very laid back environment and relaxed. Told them what I needed and did not disappoint. Glad to have a local shop with great cuts, great price as well as great service.

Absolutely love First City Barber on Metropolitan. They do a really great job cutting my kids hair and are really patient with them. We refuse to go anywhere else!

Best haircut I've ever had. The people who are complaining about the wait time either don't call ahead or dont understand that these guys aren't like great clips pumping out mediocre haircuts on the daily. They take their time and treat it like an art. On top of all that the staff is super nice and the prices are good. I'd recommend this barber shop to anyone looking for people who are doing what they love and doing it well.

Went in as a walk in; waited a few minutes (a couple guys in front of me) before the barber motioned that there was a guy in back. I didn't catch his name but he did a great job. Smoothest "to the skin" I've had in a long time and he brushed most of the loose hair off my head. Really a pretty good experience. I'd definitely give it another visit.

My boys need hair cuts and I called around to see if anyone had time. The gentleman that answered the was said they could get them right in. We got there the barber got them right in the chair. He was polite and great with my kids I would recommend this place to anyone.

Awesome people. Great service.. They take their time to do a great job. Have always taken my kids to great clips etc... Never really satisfied, always have to fix or cut missed hair afterwards. My kids and I have found our new hair place here. I would highly recommend them.. Thanks Nate

This is the only barbershop in town my son trusts with his hair. He has a lot of it. They take their time and get it done right!

I just needed a trim and Cliff immediately made me appointment and was very professional, nice and on point. I love my hair.

My husband would drive all the way from Kansas City just to get his haircut. I must say he was always fresh clean cut no complaints.
