Sunset Park

It is one of Salina's most charming parks, located near the heart of town. This park spans an area of about 28 acres with lots of trees for shade, lush green lawns, ponds, fountains, and a waterfall.
Near the center of the park, there is a Veterains Memorial area. Honering veterans of salina, this is a very momentous area and very well done.
For the kids, there is a nice playground, shelters for picnics, and nearby restrooms.

Sunset has always been a beautiful park. My sons love playing at the playground, as well as my boyfriend & I love walking the new trails they have.

Amazing place in the cutest town I've been to. Awesome park that wasn't too busy at all. Pavilions, BBQ grills, fairly clean bathrooms, plenty of walking space and a lot of old classic cars driving around the town, my boys loved it. This whole town was very organized and clean, it was a joy to come visit. Hopefully I come back someday 🙏

Pretty nice park. Nice landscape, lots of equipment for kids, basketball and tennis court. Also plenty of Shelters for parties.

Over abundance of tree's and shade . Nice place to picnic.

Excellent location for family get together and quality time. Nice play ground, just beware of the heat on the skin in the extreme heat and direct sunlight. The restrooms are nice too, for being outdoors. There is handicapped parking in the middle of the park, central to everything. All around, DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!!!

How could one possibly gripe about a nice open space for folks to enjoy...for free‽ Seriously, it is actually a nice area that was very clean and well maintained the day I was there. A few folks were there with their dogs and hopefully they brought a couple of plastic bags with them 😓. All around nice place though.

A very nice, well-maintained and beautiful park for anyone wanting to get outside without going too far. The walking lane asking the entire street, war memorial, and new playground are all attractive and interesting features. A very relaxing and scenic park overall.

Nice anesthetics and well maintened.there are playgrounds and swings for kids as well as sitting areas for barbecues with grills.2 tennis courts and a baseball field.great ave to do laps for exercise.there is even a walking lane for pedestrians.quite and tranquil,an overall great place to visit. There is also a war memorial for vets who have died in service that are from salina and a waterfall and ponds,gated so you don't have to worry about your children falling in.great place to take photos.i give it a 10 out of 10

What a beautiful park so much shade to park in To walk in places for the kids to play I Love this place.

This is a nice little park. It has plenty of room for picnics, out door cooking, has shelter for events, basketball, tennis, war memorial, waterfall, fountain, stream, and a very nice playground. The park is usually very clean and even has a dispenser for dog poop bags. My only complain is that it is too close to the airport to fly RC aircraft.

New play ground is looking great! Open back up for kids to enjoy! Thanks for the upgrade!

Lots of shady places to park. Playground clean. Ponds, tho green, lots of little fish. Look like little cat fish. Probably some kind of algae eater. Different kinds of water bugs, too. Swang a bit; checking the place out to take granddaughter. Go earlier in day or early evening. Many different trees but no shade on equipment til sun at angle. Nice half hour for this old granny
