Motel 6 Salina, KS

Was quickly checked with no problems with the third-party website that we used to reserve our room. My only concern was the housekeeper was very pushy to get us out of the room right at 11 am ( yes I know that's regular check-out time) I tried to call the office at 10:30 to let them know but couldn't get anyone to answer the phone but we were checked out by 11:30a just thought it was rude that we were bugged twice by HK but very nice place for a cheap stay.

It's been 30 years since I stayed at a Motel 6. I was traveling from Denver to Kansas City and ran out of steam! I had my dog with me and needed a pet friendly place where I could get her out the door when needed. This hotel had removed all the carpeting and replaced it with wood laminate which looks very nice and does away with mold and smells. The sink was updated along with a larger vanity and the bathroom has been redone. A very smartly designed corner shower replaced a tub. A micro fridge and microwave plus TV and comfortable bed rounded out the room. I was very comfortable, felt safe, I knew I could get my dog out in the middle of the night without waking everybody else up. The manager was very pleasant and very helpful in getting me into the room that I preferred.

I have been staying here for the past 9 years. The beds were always hard, the rooms were clean but, just not well laid out. I never took a shower. It was just a place for me and my dog to rest for the night. This time, however, the room was like a boutique motel room. The bed was so comfy. There was a fridge and microwave in the room. A large screen TV hung on the wall. The best part? Pets are still free and the prices have barely gone up. Motel 6 Salina, I have a crush on you. Your new neon and well-lit parking lot along with the nice pet area, are spot on. I will be seeing you in a week.

This is the nicest Motel 6 I have ever been to. The shower is really nice, the hot water works great! Pets stay free which is so great! They have weekly rates which made it so cheap for us. The beds had brand new mattresses and the ladies came and did full cleans for us every couple of days. The pool is very clean and safe. I highly recommend staying here!

I stay here every year, often twice, on my drives to Colorado. It has consistently been the best Motel 6 I know: both the facility and the staff. I love the location, as there's a good walk down a paved, then gravel, then dirt road that leads out into the fields.

Update: I was just there again, and all is still excellent. Friendly staff, everything clean and orderly, a great motel.

Of course it is nothing fancy, but for what it is and for the price, it was very good. The room was clean and the beds and pillows were comfortable. It fit our needs, a place to sleep from 11:30pm to 8am in the middle of a 1400 mile drive. The pm and am clerks were both friendly and helpful.

Room was pleasant and clean. Service was great and the staff was great. Everyone was very helpful. Vending machines were working and the ice machine functional. We like to stay with our pups and motel 6 always let's them stay free. We'll keep coming back and they keep leaving the light on for us!

This was the nicest Motel 6 I've ever seen. We were just passing through so we went with cheapest option, and I'm glad we did. We could tell the rooms had just been remodeled. They were clean and updated. I liked the floors weren't carpeted (nice linoleum or laminate hardwood) because carpet in lower-end motels usually is pretty gross. I would stay here again! Rooms were nicer than the Super 8 nearby, but breakfast was not included here. For the price difference, we could buy ourselves some breakfast.

The Motel 6 in Salina Kansas gave us a very nice room for a very good price. It did not have in-room coffee, but it had a microwave, a refrigerator, a nice shower, and TV. The one queen bed was all we needed and it was soft with lots of nice pillows. The staff was very friendly too and the room was very clean and well-kept. We were only looking for a place to crash for the night, but we got a lot more than we expected. We would definitely stay here again!

Friendly and inviting staff. IHOP right next door. Waited abit on room since it had been shampooed. Took that time to scout around town. Surprised that bed was pretty comfortable and a/c worked fine. Liked the fact that the bathroom had 2 switches one for fan and one for light. Also a sink with light and counter for more room was great! Sometimes I leave a light on at night so without the noise of a fan makes for better sleeping. This whole stay was delightful. Had a frig and micro in room which I used. Also Internet was fast and easy to hook up to. For the value it was well worth it. All their upgrading is timely. Just hope the prices don't go up. I only need a place to sleep and shower so I don't need easy chairs and amenities since I'm never there long enough. Thanks for a good experience. See you on my next trip!

We got to Motel 6 late after a long drive and we were noticeably exhausted. The lady at the desk got us checked in quickly and we were able to get to our room and crash. My only concern was the ceiling tiles, they have a way of making the room feel like it’s not private, and the housekeeper came by an hour before checkout knocking to see if we were gone, which woke up the baby.

I was on a cross country trek and happened upon this Motel 6. I was greeted by 2 of the nicest people I had met on my 2987 mile journey. The room was clean and the TV, AC/heater as well as the TV remote all worked. I was very thankful to be able to rest in such a safe, cozy and cost effective place.

This not one of the best, BUT the best Motel 6's that I have stayed at I a very long time. From the time I called to make my reservation till I left the service was excellent. Sonja took my reservation and accommodated my needs of a ground floor room, the type of bed and was very good. When I arrived, I am sorry I didn't get the lady's name but she was cordial, let me know about things in the vicinity, the specials at IHOP and another restaurant and since you don't have a coca-cola vending machine where I could purchase coke products. The room was exactly as advertised and met my needs 100%. Couldn't have been happier with cleanliness or quietness of the room. Outstanding! The next morning I made a reservation for
my return trip (things changed in my plans and I couldn't keep it) and again Sonja was extremely helpful. This was a tremendous experience.

This is hands down, the cleanest Motel 6 and Motel I have ever stayed in. Very very clean rooms, well illumimated and secure parking lot. Friendly staff, reasonable price and reliable complimentary items. Highly recommend a try if you are ever in the area.

I had not stayed in a Motel 6 for 2 years because the balcony of the last one was attached by tie down cords and the other side was completely missing. This one was newly remodeled, clean, and sharp looking. I am staying in another tonight!

Just to bad some idiot in another room had to break the rules and smoke in their room. I'm guessing they thought they were being clever by smoking in the bathroom with the fan on. Aparrently they didn't realize all they were doing was spreading their nasty cigarette smoke to the surrounding rooms.
My room was clean, and the air conditioning was cold enough to make you burrow under the covers.
The staff was so friendly and kind. Guarantee I will recommend to other truck drivers to spend a nice night there. PLUS, the room was inexpensive enough it wouldn't break the bank. Thank you Motel 6!

10/10 best motel 6 I've been to and I travel alot for work/pleasure. Front desk was super friendly and they helped me without any sass or attitude what so ever. Love these guys and great for budget stays.

We were thrilled with our stay in Salina, Kansas. The room was clean and functional. We were able to have our pet with us at no additional charge. Perhaps the best thing we experienced was when we got a call from your staff about 2 hours after we had left, notifying us that our son left his wallet in the room. After discussin our options, the staff agreed to overnight mail it to our destination so that my son could have our wallet. We cannot express the thoughtfulness honesty and caring over this issue and how accommodating your staff there was. The persons' names are Sonia Guzman, Manager and Denise Yoakim at the Motel 6 in Salina, KS.

We were traveling and arrived around 8 PM. We were tired and checked the rates at the other motels in Salina but all were too high for our short stay. We only wanted to sleep, shower and leave early the next morning. Plus they charged $15 dollars extra for our small pet to make their rate almost $100 per night. It was such a relief to find the Motel 6. Their rate was less than half the other motels in town and they did not charge a pet fee. The total charge including taxes was only $43.36 for my wife and me and our small dog. The little room was clean as a pin with a very smart lay out and shower arrangement. The check in person was super polite, courteous and even gave us discount coupons to use at restaurants within walking distance of the motel. We could not have had a more pleasant experience than this little Motel 6 offered for out traveling needs. Thank you Motel 6 of Salina Kansas.
