It is a small museum, doesn’t take much time to go around. Would say about 20 minutes, could be longer depending on if you read everything and watch the videos and movie.

Every October they have an unveiling of a new artifact that they release in the museum. About every 6 months they will rotate, add in different items to be displayed. They have things from the original movie to the adaptations.

If you’re a fan of the movie, or ever watched one of them, recommend stopping by at least once.

They do offer military/veteran discount.

A fun museum to stop and explore. It is small, but packs a lot of information and memorabilia. The staff was friendly and there is a great playground across the street. Make sure to explore the gift shop!

I have been wanting to go to this museum for the past 3 years. We were driving through Kansas and decided to make it a stop. We grabbed lunch and headed to the museum. It did not disappoint! I am a huge Wizard of Oz fan as well as The Wiz. It’s got charm galore. We loved the original book collection and all the original costume and set pieces. The play the movie in a little theatre in the back. We watched about half of the movie and really enjoyed ourselves. Definitely a fun way to spend an hour or so.

This was a fun experience. It didn't take us long to walk through the museum. Although, I am not a read everything museum person. The price was fair. You could spend ten minutes or an hour depending on your love of museums and Oz.

Don't forget to walk the yellow brick road across the street! Wonderful artwork and great use of space in a little alley off main street.

My beautiful wife carrying our first child decided to come here for my birthday on July 27 to experience the wizard of oz feel as we have watched the movie and wanted to experience more of how it become and what amazing treasures the museum holds. It may be small museum but had a lot of information from learning more about munchkins to learning the cast members. Inside there’s also a mini theater where the movie is playing. If you’re from Kansas or even stopping by I would still recommend visiting this place. They also mentioned they will move around some oz Characters around especially for the evil witch side to show more about her by hopefully October this year.

Next door they also have Toto’s Tacos and across from the museum in an ally was the yellow brick road with amazing art on the walls and names on the bricks. “There’s no place like home!”

This place was super cool 😎 it was small, which was expected since I did research beforehand. We see the signs when we travel across the country every year, and we decided to come here on a mini vacation to Kansas City. It can take an hr if you look at every single thing they have on display. Less time if you browse, but for the price you pay, it is worth it. It is very clean, and the upkeep is very well taken care of. The Wizard of Oz is one of my favorite movies, so this was a real treat. The gift shop had some super cool stuff too.

Such a fun museum. Lots of movie memorabilia, costumes, photos, and information you may not know about the classic Wizard of Oz movie. Also great info and memorabilia from The Wiz. Staff was super friendly, lots of fun t-shirts, and other gift items. I highly recommend this stop, well worth the $10 admission and it is conveniently located just off of I-70 with plenty of free street parking.

Museum had alot of memorabilia and original pieces. If you grew up watching this movie it is pretty awesome to see. Definitely worth the drive. Doesn't take long to walk through the museum. However, you can watch the full length movies while there. You can also leave the museum and come back throughout the day. The museum does offer military discounts as well.

I loved this museum. They had so many original artifacts from the movie that really surprised me. I liked how there was a different display for every character to talk about the actor as a person and their role in the movie. So many fun facts I didn't know! I loved the speech the staff gave before opening the door to the exhibit. There is also 3 videos you can watch about the movie as well to further your education. I liked the movie theater as well. You can watch the Wizard of Oz while you are there to refresh your memory as well!

If you like the movie, you will LOVE this museum! We stumbled across it by accident and had a great time. There's a lot of information about the movie, character costumes and info about other movies related to The Wizard of Oz. Have your picture taken in the wizard's hot air balloon. The gift shop has some great souvenirs to take home. Keep your eyes open for the painted Totos around town. Just down the street you can see the legs of the witch sticking out from the house that fell on her.
