The cutest coffee shop in Salina! So happy we stopped in. The atmosphere here is welcoming and cozy. My parents and I ordered iced coffees and my sister an iced chai, we all said our drinks were delicious! Employees were very kind and I was even given the oat milk to pour myself which I loved. It’s the little things :) We are visiting from Florida and we don’t see a lot of coffee shops like this one very often. I adored all the plants and books they had to look at too. Totally recommended to anyone visiting or just stopping by town, you’re also supporting a small business!

Wow! Discovered this place as we drive through the state and it’s one for the traveler’s books. Food was phenomenal, staff was friendly and punctual, and atmosphere is accepting and fun. Books to buy / read, stickers & magnets for purchase, and yummy food to munch. 10/10.

Fantastic coffee shop! I love the space and ambiance here. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and fun to talk to! I tried a lemon blueberry gluten free scone and chai tea. Wow! I’d highly recommend this place!

This coffee shop is awesome! My love and I drive from Ohio to Colorado once or twice a year and we're always looking for independent coffee shops and restaurants along the way. We stayed the night in Salina and wanted coffee before getting back on I-70. This place showed up on the Google Machine and we're so happy it did! Not only is the coffee, service, and atmosphere excellent, but we both enjoy knowing the people there are educated about diversity and open-minded to people who need support in this world. Thank you so much for that. We'll stop by again on our next trip!

Was recommended this place and was hyped up. But that's the privilege with hype for me. It never meets my expectations. Great place. Wish it was bigger. I appreciate the mission of the owner. I appreciate this place existing. It's heart warming to have a space for reading, art, and culture. I was disappointed in my coffee though. Ordered a flat white. Half my drink was wasted and spilled out when made. And the portions for the cost were also disappointing. But otherwise it was great and it's a place i hope to frequent.

This was my first visit and I’m pleased. I usually frequent Starbucks, but I decided to find something new, closer, and that served coffee that doesn’t upset my stomach. It appears Ad Astra moved recently because this location looks great inside. It’s quite inviting and relaxing.
If you stay, they will put your hot drink in a nice mug instead of a paper cup. I liked that because it stayed warmer longer. I also tried the Fudge Caramel Chocolate Brownie and it is wonderful and rich. This month they have a Toasted Coconut Chocolate Latte, as well as some others, but I gave it a try and it was very good!
Overall, I think this will be my new go to spot in town. They appear to embrace all in the community too. I love seeing an inclusive business! You should check it out too!

Overall, it was a great first visit. A decent used book collection, and my chai tea latte was perfect.

I was pleasantly surprised that loving two store fronts over gave more room and a happier vibe. I love the staff and the owner. I am hooked on the almond joy coffee!

I come here regularly to enjoy all this place has to offer. Great vibe, amazing staff, and the best coffee in Salina.
The other day I had a very safe and reassuring experience with one of the workers. As I said I am in frequently and was caught in an uncomfortable conversation with someone I didn’t know. Mo noticed immediately that I was uncomfortable and steered the person in another direction. The staff look out for you and they are amazing.

I love this coffee shop! Wonderful atmosphere, great customer service, delicious coffee. I make a point to stop in every time I drive across country.

Edit: The new location a few doors down from the old one is just as lovely! Same great atmosphere, and continues to be my favorite coffee shop in the U.S. 🤍

Ad Astra is my office away from my office. I love the culture and environment that Tammy has created in Downtown Salina. Check out their incredible coffee and other menu items!

Lovely find on the North end of the main drag in Salina. Stopped in on a long road trip after wandering up and down the street, admiring the buildings and imagining the history (hint: interpretative signs would be wonderful). I always like to help support local businesses and enjoyed both my decaf flat white and locally made molasses cookie. Very diverse crowd of folks along with what seems like a diverse selection of books. Highly recommended!

The best coffee shop in Salina (and not too far off the path for travelers just passing through) I had the best breakfast burrito of my life here this morning! The baristas were completely knowledgeable and made my macchiato perfectly. While you’re here you have to take a stroll downtown.

Was just passing through Salina and decided to grab some coffee and breakfast. The lavendar latte was great, with an actual lavender taste. And the toasted bagel with blueberry orange nutmeg cream cheese was delicious! The service was fast and friendly. And to top it all off, the shop itself has an awesome atmosphere that I wish I could go to more often for studying or catching up friends. 👌

What a great place to just come and hang out. Wasn’t sure what to order lady at the front asked me a couple questions and directed me towards the perfect cup of coffee

Far exceeded our expectations! We found this gem on a whim on our way out of town and it did not disappoint. We’re admit-tingly total coffee snobs and wow- the flavor combination in the special latte was so smooth and absolutely delicious. My husband had the sweet potato muffin and I had a gf banana peanut butter chocolate chip bread and both were amazingly moist and so tasty. The service was fast and super friendly as well! Highly recommend.

Ad Astra is a local coffee shop. It is in a very old and unique storefront that's all brick inside. All of the bricks are over 100 years old I'm sure. It's locally ran, it has amazing cappuccinos and coffee you can set and browse at books and read for free, enjoying an assortment of coffee beverages. There's also coffees that you can buy there that are roasted in Central Kansas that are very good! You can also buy local honey there.

The inside is very spacious and big, with high ceilings. It is nice and casual place where you can just sit and enjoy a cup of coffee, a slice of pie, an Italian soda etc. Definitely stop by and check it out!

I am loving the new location and baked good additions. The peanut butter marshmallow cookies were delicious 😋 as were the blueberry oatmeal ones and the lavender coffee cake. I had a chance to speak to the owner, who is an absolute gem with a knack for creating a warm inviting environment for working or social gatherings. Oh! The coffee is superb, served by the friendliest of baristas.
