Wichita Park Cemetery

Pokemon hunting grounds with my favorites. I highly recommend visiting this area if you love to play Pokemon Go, or even just to have a little time away from any craziness you may be dealing with. Such as domestic violence for instance. That is one of the things that affected me and finally broke me after never dealing with it. Luckily, I learned how to make sure that never happens again. No matter how bad things get, I will NEVER attempt suicide again. Peace is a good thing 👯‍♀✌👯‍♂

My Grandmother and Grandfather are here. They were rather slow on finishing the engraving but always nice and courteous when dealing with the family.

Today, May 30th, 2022 I went out to see my dad, he’s been gone 42 years. I immediately noticed my dad’s marker has been very damaged. 😡😡😡😡😡. There used to be a marker right next to him though that marker has been removed for some reason. I tried calling the number that is listed though it has been disconnected. I’m furious, they damaged my dad’s marker and didn’t even contact me to explain what happened. I am demanding a phone call from the office of this cemetery to contact me immediately. Also the grounds are over grown, looks terrible. As much as it cost to lay a loved one to rest and this is what I see when I come to visit my dad- UNACCEPTABLE!! This is the damage done to my daddy’s marker. I’m extremely livid with this cemetery and their way of taking care of the ones who are trying to Rest In Peace.

Wichita Park cemetery made an error on an order for a grave marker. It takes 8-12 months for the markers to be received. Which was NOT advised at the time of placing an order. Two orders were made at the same time and one of the orders was missing some of the necessary paperwork to complete the order.This was discovered 6 months after the initial order was made. One of two orders was completed in 8 months. The second order will not be available for another 5 months. Wichita Park has advised me that they cannot get this order expedited and cannot use a different monument company. They have advised me the person who made this error will be repremanded. This will not get the error corrected. At this point I am frustrated and it appears that Wichita Park cemetery does not care.

I was shocked at the neglect of this property, including lack of mowing and covered headstones with weeds, potholes in the road and the mausoleum was a mess inside.

Really sad to visit decreased family or consider using future spaces there.

We contacted the cemetery several years ago about our sons headstone being buried. We were there last weekend and is was buried again.
