St. John's Military School Historical Museum

Bittersweet coming back and seeing the museum. Amazing what has been preserved from SJMS and the care and consideration that has been taken in having a place for us Old Boys to come back to and remember. I still can't believe SJMS is not as it once was. Does take me back to 1987 when I started at the school until 1991 when I left. So many memories - thank you for keeping the spirit alive!

Wonderful school history. Sad loss for many young men. Those who continue to keep the museum going are AMAZING people.

Spent 3 years at SJMS and graduated. The museum was well thought out and an awesome representation of the history of the school since 1887.
SJMS Forever!

I went to school there in 1968/1969. I was headed in the wrong direction in my life during a very tumultuous time in US history. I thank my parents for investing in my future and thank St. John's for putting my life on a path of success. I was not able to make the grand opening of the museum but will be driving back home from Colorado in September and plan to stop and relive. SJMS forever.

A beautiful place to reflect upon the building blocks of the man I am today.

It was Hell and Heaven. The academics were fantastic but I can tell you now, certain young men should never be given power over others

My dad was there and graduated on drill team for 6 years and me and him both miss that place so much and I'm just a kid but he would take me every day I love that place

I wish I could go back.. This was to some the top of the line, the end of the line, or just the beginning. To me this was home.

Amazing tribute to 131 years of turning boys into men.

So wonderful that the history of the school is being preserved for the enjoyment of future generations

It is now the Corporate office and IT department for Saint Francis ministries

Grown now life is great but story’s of abuse are unfortunately true.

This place wasn’t easy to be at.

I was traveling from Colorado to Texas and had to supercharge Tesla in Salina. I stopped by for memories and saw it has been shut down and couldn’t believe it.

Whenever i went to school here in 2013/2014 there was some bad stuff going on. I am not just a wimp either I went to MMA in South Texas and it was much better.

Glad it's shut down.

I'm glad this place got shut down I was there around 09-11 and kids were abused, tortured, branded etc.
