O J Watson Park

It's amazing place to walk, picnic and relax.
Also have a train ride you should try it

This has been my favorite park to go to ever since I was a little kid. The park is clean, family friendly fun and I will always be fond of the paddle boats and the train which our daughter gets to go on now. Sincerely hope O J park never losses it's charm

The changes to the park over the years have made even a small stroll thru the park a memorable experience. Both people and pet friendly makes an hour on a pleasant Sunday an eye opening vision of nostalgia. I recommend a personal walk along the parks inner sanctum of waterways for a private getaway. It was clean and full of life as the sound of the distant families laughter echoed alongside the footsteps of both my dogs first ventures in a park. Definitely a call for a return venture.

I lived in Kansas in the late 1960 as a kid and loved it... I came to Waston Park with 2 of my siblings and mother and friends of the family Tessie and Bonnie..I was 4 or 5 yrs old.. We were sitting on a pumpkin carriage, Bonnie took a picture of us kids... We moved away in 1970.. I always wanted to come back and live here... I finally made that dream come true at 59 yrs old... I love it here ... It has changed... But the people are so friendly....I plan to live here the rest of my life....

Had to wait a little longer then was originally told for another party to wrap up. Staff handled thing wonderfully. We had a great Baby show..Building has a great Air conditioner. The price was good for the amount of time we had.

Really beautiful park with lots of fun activities year-round! I highly recommend Wicked Island at Halloween time.

Awesome park to take a mini toy train ride or even play miniature golf. The boat and pony rides were not open during the summer time we visited. Kid-friendly place.

Very nice park to entrain the kids. There are train rides, pedal boats, multiple playground and picnic areas. They even have pony rides and petting area but it was closed for the day due to puddles from the rain

I was scoping out places around town to take photos. I really wanted to incorporate the yellow brick road from OJ Watson Park. While it took me a bit to find it, I was not disappointed. It's a great park with plenty of area to explore, picnic & play.

We used to have our son's birthday parties there. We took our grand kids and they had fun riding the ponies,the train, & playing on the playground equipment. Then cooling off with an icy.

The grands and I had a great time visiting this park. It offers pony rides, train rides, mini golf and paddle boats. It also has several different playgrounds and has a concession stand in case you want something to eat or drink. You can also bring your own food/drinks and enjoy one of the many covered picnic areas.

Great place to walk your dog. The perimeter of the park is 2.5 miles. Boating, fishing, playground, and event center for weddings ...

Always a great time here with the kids. Clean, plenty of tables, trash cans. I only wish they would bring back the Yellow Brick Road with the Statues. Lol Good Times!!
They have made updates and now have a beautiful venue for weddings and more!! Prices are reasonable. The train is always fun.

O.j Watson Park is one of my favorite parks in all of Wichita. It has been a staple of many family gatherings. I have been coming here for well over 30 years. As time has gone by, the city has maintained and updated park equipment, roads, parking spots and entrances. There are plenty of places to park. Lots of playground equipment for young children to play on. Lots of shoreline to do fishing, kayaking, pedal boating. There is a train that you can ride on. There is a miniature golf course with various fun themed holes. Small children can ride on ponies during the spring and summer months. There is ample room to run around play frisbee host parties or whatever else you would like to do. For the south side of Wichita, but Jay Watson Park is hands down the best park to go to.

Our daughters loved the Polar Express experience. Coloring stockinged, train ride, and meeting Mr. And Mrs. Clause.

We had a good time, pony rides, train, paddle boats and nice walk around the yellow brick road. Restrooms need work!
