Thomas Park made for a perfect little road trip pit stop. We ate a little lunch at the picnic tables under some freshly budding trees and the kids had a bunch of fun on the unique/nature-themed playground (I did too, btw).

It was an extra plus that they had open (and reasonably clean) public restrooms. I’d gladly stop here again when passing by on the I-70!

I think I saw a frisbee golf course and a few more appealing amenities, but we didn’t have time to check ‘um out.

We go there bout every night, my little dog just loves to run around in the grass. And yes I do pick up her poop, I just wish other people would do the same. To me dog owners that don't pick up their dogs poop does not deserve to own a dog. PET OWNERS BE RESPONSIBLE. Think of other people. How would you like to step in it just because some people are to lazy.

MOST EXCELLENT, IT'S GREAT TO BE BACK HERE! THIS PARK IS FANTASTIC FOR FAMILY GAMES, LUNCHES AND LITTLE ADVENTURES AROUND WITH THE FAMILY PET. DEFINITELY WORTH THE TIME TO STOP AND SMELL THE ROSES HERE!!!

I did not enjoy the park as you would normally think. I was at the park because this is also a pick up/drop off bus stop. I was taking my daughter there to catch her return bus ride back to Colorado. I think that our smaller towns should start building bus terminals or bus stations, instead of picking up or dropping off bus riders at 3AM in a dark, isolated, City Park. My daughter said, "It is very creepy at this hour, when waiting for the bus to arrive." I couldn't agree more! You never know what could happen at this park, if you would happen to be alone. We need to invest in being better at providing safe "pick ups & drop off bus stops" for all citizens in our small town communities. If they can do it in the BIG CITIES, they can do it in the small ones too!

Loved this park! Shade everywhere, lots of picnic tables, a kiddie playground, frisbee golf, water pump. Just a short 2-min drive away from food, gas, and the freeway if you need a quick stop and a breather. We will take a break here every trip down I-70 past Salina, if it works out.

Thomas Park a nice shaded place area with a lot trees that make you feel you are in Forest. Very quiet park that a person can sit and enjoyed mother nature. There are two public restrooms, handicap shelter house and a drinking fountain near the shelter house. I been taking my dog, Storm,to the park 3 to 4 times a week

This is an extremely nice park within the City of Salina. It has a nonpotable water emptying station for RV's, a covered picnic area, and further back is a brick building which I believe is available for rent for family get togethers, etc. It has rest rooms which are open Spring, Summer, and Fall but closed during the winter months. It's only a couple blocks South of interstate 70 so if you need a break from driving, it's idea. Oh; they just added a brand new playground area for kids this Spring (2017). They also have a great fresbie golf park.

Saved our lives on a cross country trip with a 2 and 5 year old in the car. Sits in a little outlet of a park with no restroom but does have benches for lunch. Can have bus so bring some Off!

Shady park with lots of room for tag or soccer with your family, also nice scenery for pictures to be taken and nice equipment for the kids. Including a nice addition of frisbee golf for adults.

Love the park 99%. The 1% I dont love is the rv dump station parking spot is not level and sits below the sanitary drain so our low camper has trouble emptying its tanks.

Great place to take the kids while on a road trip on I70. Swings for big kids and little kids, couple slides and lots of climbing. Picnic areas too.

As far as parks go, this is one of our favorites!! Great for bigger kids, but enough to do that the younger ones will have fun too.
