It's one of Salina's largest parks. There is plenty to see in this gorgeous park, statues, gardens, and art. Walking the park is very relaxing as the landscaping is pretty and grounds are kept nice. There is plenty to do here for the kids, large playground, and an area made for music exploration.
The gardens are well kept, with a nice variety of flowers, grasses, and shrubs. Decorated throughout are statues and monuments.
The 2nd weekend in June, this park is host to one of Salina's favorite festivals, Smokey Hill River Festival. Later in the summer, it also is host to a Parkside large car show.

Wonderful park! Wish we could have stayed longer to explore. We stopped here for a picnic and playground break on a road trip. Could see two other playgrounds from where we were, and drove by a cool music play area on the way in. Seems like it would be a wonderful spot in the summer.

Oakdale Park is a wonderful asset to the Salina community. It is the host to many events such as the Riverfest and the kkoa custom car show. It is also next door to the Kenwood Cove water park. It is one of the best kept secrets in town Oakdale park it is always the center and hub of activity. I've had many great times here going to Riverfest the Lead Sled show and many of the farm shows that are held here. Plus it's right next door to Kenwood Cove so you can go to event and if you get bored with it you can go to the Kenwood Cove Aquatic Park I recommend the place highly!

Big Park Area with Oakdale and Kenwood right next to each other, it's a great park! I play guitar and I like the Amphitheater, and they have a great playground. We also stop by the Outdoor Chimes and Drums whenever we are there!
Today, we were Geocaching, and this area has a bunch of great finds if you are into that as well!

A huge park full of old old oak trees. This park has multiple areas including a playground, a toddler playground, a ADA playground full of music making toys, a large stage that shows frequent plays and music in the summer, tennis courts and private tables/grills for picnics by the river. The park hosts the Smokey hill river festival in the summer as well as several children’s days and holidays cookouts. This is an excellent park with wide sidewalks and lovely flower gardens.
(Note: because of the danger of flooding and summer drought, the river doesn’t always have water. And even when it does, this is Kansas. Don’t swim in the rivers. ;)

My grandbabies love this park! There was an event going on, and we ate chili, hotdogs, chips, and seen people in costumes and a few vendors.

I love coming here, every year for River Fest. My sister and brother in law were married in Oakdale, 11 years ago, today, and my mother in law played French horn in the band for 30 years. Oakdale is just a magical place for our family.

Beautiful park, kid friendly. The venue for the annual Smoky Hill River Festival, an extremely well curated arts and crafts festival. There are four stages with a large variety of entertainment options - wide variety of music styles and groups, kid centric entertainers, etc. Outside of the Festival the park is well maintained, tranquil, and a wonderful place for some outdoor time with the family.

What a wonderful place to just stroll, relax and just enjoy what Salina has. This place was so relaxing and the colors from the flowers were something you have to experience for yourself. What was really fun was seeing the groom that was going to get married in the park pace with a nervous delight of anticipation to his special day. Only in Salina!
