I think I have found my go to for fire wood. He has all sorts. I didn't need a full cord, more like 1/3 of a rick for heating and enjoyment in my home. However, I ended up with a little more than 2/3 of a rick of dark walnut and another hard wood. Everything I've placed in to burn has done so very well so far. His price is very fair (comparing to what I was paying at Dillons) and he's an extremely nice guy. Glad to find people like this to do business with instead of supporting big business/ box stores. I'll be back when the need arises. Thanks again for the wood and good deal.

Extremely friendly, helpful service. My arm is currently in a sling and the gentlemen that helped me was kind enough to load my trunk full of mixed hardwoods for nothing. All for a very reasonable price. I will definitely be back!

They are great to work with. I chatted with Andy via email and a few short phone calls.
I wanted a rick of whole logs so that I could split them myself and he was very helpful at making sure I got the right type for my needs (the mixed woods) and he was extremely friendly and quick about it!
I was not able to be there to receive the wood and pay in person, so they were happy to leave the bill and I just sent them a check.
The whole transaction was very smooth. The wood was great.

Impressive selection for firepit or smoker. Helped me with a mix of woods for a 16 hour smoke of a hole hog. The service makes you feel like you're buying a new car but only costs you the price of a 1/4 rick of wood.

Great Experience. The first round of wood I got wouldn’t burn for me. Andy took it very seriously and resolved the issue very quickly, replacing my what I had bought with more seasoned wood. New wood burned perfect. Excellent and honest service. Will be coming back again.

The prices and hospitality are unbeatable! I would drive hours just to go here to get my Smoking and Firewood. Great selection of wood types and even after a heavy rain the wood I bought for my 4th of July smoke was surprisingly dry. I wouldn't recommend any other place.

This if the first year I have purchased firewood. So, after reading Google reviews, I decided to try Woodchuck. I found my experience to be way beyond expectations. Having been very successful in the restaurant business for many years, I understand the extreme importance of customer service which goes far beyond expectations, because in that cut throat competition to develop loyal customers, you can't be satisfied with anything less than perfection and the focus on customer needs.

The owner of Woodchuck always answers the phone. In my first conversation with him, he recommended mixed wood, since I wanted wood that burned easier and produced a good flame, versus Oak which he said is sometimes harder to keep a "burn" on. So I drove to his facility and they loaded my Ford F-150 with a "rick" full of wood. I have a rack at home which holds exactly a "rick". I unloaded my truck, filling the rack, but found that it only filled 3/4 of my rack. So I called Andy to advise him of that and he instantly said, "We are here to make it right, so if you don't mind coming back out, we will load some more wood to fill that rack, or we would be happy to deliver it". I told him I did not mind making a second trip. (Note, that if he delivers wood, they would have filled my rack to the top, from their large trailer. But when guesstimating by filling a pickup bed, it is understandable that it is less precise). So, on my second trip out, I got what was needed to fill my rack with the additional wood which came from newly arrived inbound pallets near his front gate, versus my original load which came from large wood piles at the north end of his yard.

Here is where his customer service really shined. The first wood I burned was from the "additional" wood and it was not burning very well (with a good flame on it), unless I kept my gas flame turned on, underneath the wood. I called Andy to share that and he immediately asked if he could come out to my house and troubleshoot what was going on. First he examined my "additional" wood and noticed that there were not the tell tale cracks in the cut ends of the wood, which indicates wood has cracked from drying out and shedding its moisture. He also used his moisture meter on it to confirm that it had not seasoned enough (coming from one of his out of state suppliers). We built a fire with that wood so that he could see what was happening. At that point he said, "I am going to remove all of your "additional" wood and replace it with what I know is good, from my log piles in the yard".

One other thing he noticed was that I have large open hearth in my massive fireplace. He said that hearths which are enclosed with glass doors, are able to better concentrate the flow of oxygen by partially closing the doors, which causes kind of a wind tunnel effect where oxygen gets sucked into the fire bed, causing a more intense flame. But in my case with a large open hearth, oxygen is dissipating within the cavity. In order to keep a good flame going, he decided I needed slimmer chunks of firewood which will burn more readily in that condition,

Bottom line is that he removed all of the "additional" wood and brought back out a load of "smaller splits" which more than compensated for the "additional" wood. His solution worked perfectly and my fireplace now roars with a good flame which stays constant. Andy was extremely responsive. He showed absolutely no reluctance in making things right. He was genuinely interested in not only making it right but also trying to understand where the problem was, by commenting, "This was a learning moment for me, because of your large open hearth, I realize that I need to ask customers whether they have closed or open hearths, so I can suggest thinner log splits for more aggressive flame".

Andy and Woodchuck are the epitome of customer focused service and satisfaction and I can see why he has so many 5 Star reviews and not one that is less than that. Don't hesitate one second in using Andy. He truly "gets it".

Andy was super flexible and responsive when I reached out to come pick up some firewood and did a custom price for filling up the back of my car. Very fair pricing and good, quality wood!

Very good deals on firewood my ex and I have delivered wood there we got good price for it he always good about us going to the bank and getting the money from there right now the check right there either way we always make sure he always make sure that we get paid and we get paid good he's kind his friendly his workers are good people they'll cut up with you if they got time if they don't they always always say hi and the really good you know looking at the work that you brought in and tearing it off and stuff they're really good at that and I appreciate that they don't just like bug you know and just get you out of there and give you a cheap price they look at it they measure it and they make sure that they're going to give you the right price for what you brought in I appreciate this man he's helped us so many times. I'll always go there to take my wood and if I had a wood burning stove that's where I would go to get my wood.

Had a great experience with Woodchuck Firewood. With this cold snap we have been using our fireplace 24-7. Andy was great to work with. Will use him again next winter!
