"Oh. My. Taco-loving-goodness! I just had the most incredible taco and salsa experience of my life! The taco was a perfect blend of tender, flavorful meat, crispy lettuce. But the real star of the show was the salsa. I mean, this wasn't just any salsa - it was a symphony of flavors, a dance of spices, a party in my mouth! It was tangy, slightly sweet, and had just the right amount of heat. I could've eaten it by the spoonful (and almost did). I've had my fair share of tacos and salsas in my day, but this combo was truly something special. If you're a taco aficionado like me, do yourself a favor and seek this place out. Your taste buds will thank you!"

I love eating at Mexico Cafe Delano in Wichita's Delano District. The owner is very friendly, and the food is amazing! If you are there for lunch, check out the Lunch Sampler, as it gives a good variety of items, including an enchilada, fried taco, beans, rice, and chili verde. And if you are really hungry, try the Lunch Deluxe Burrito - smothered goodness! The salsa is great too! Prices are very affordable, and they also offer catering and enchiladas by the dozen.

It has been a few years since my last visit. Still enjoyed every bite. The enchiladas are one of my favorites.

Don't forget to buy some take-home for the freezer. Delano Mexican Cafe enchiladas at home is the second best thing to dining in.

We happened to see this small cafe in Delano. So we checked it out. We saw the bowl advertised in the window. Since it was ‘to go’ because of COVID the owner invited to come in an order and it would be 10 minutes. So we went for a walk in downtown Delano and when we came back it was ready. We had a 17 minute drive home but the meal was still warm. What we experienced were chips that were just right; not too salty. The salsas were delightful and generous. The came the bowl. My wife felt that there was too much rice but I found it just right! And then came the nicest surprise: tender chunks of seasoned pork! This was awesome chile verde! It is hard to find good chile verde. I know of other older family restaurants in Wichita and Newton that have great chile verde. And this was for me among the best! I shall return soon! Thanks much!

The best enchiladas ever! They even sell them by the dozen that you can take home. We bought some to eat on Christmas Eve and went back the day after Christmas to get more for our family who came from out of town. We also bought the chili sauce to take home and put on top of them. YUM!!!

The lunch Monterey is very tasty and a filling meal. William is a very good cook. We have been eating there for years and are always excited to go again. You will be very pleased to tell your friends that you went for Mexican in Old Delano.

Recently went in with a friend and we were blown away by the experience! Great food, fair pricing, and amazing hospitality from the owner. Looking forward to stopping by on a Saturday night to hear some live music!
