Brown Thrush Park

My kids love this wide open neighborhood park. We live in the neighborhood and visit quite frequently. Youth sports programs use the open field space for practices and games in the summer and early fall. There are ball diamonds, picnic benches, park benches and playground equipment. Always see people enjoying the multiple amenities at this park and highly recommend taking your kids to enjoy the playground equipment or walk around the area!

Great park, very large with wide open areas that are great for a golden retriever to run

This is a nice, quiet neighborhood and it's close to major businesses for a nice snack after playing. It has a small playground, but a lot of land if you want to let your dog run around for a little bit!

As a kid I had football practice at Brownthrush Park and have distinct memories of learning how to properly tackle and stand up to the fear of getting tackled. After practice we would head about a half block away from the park and spend time at grandma's house enjoying either dinner and definitely a guaranteed snack from grandma!

Actually a little hidden gem . I myself was very surprised as it was a very clean Park. Not a lot of traffic nor visitors playing or could be seen even enjoyed a very nice quiet afternoon with my kids at the park was great. Especially considering our park is always packed so it was a nice change

Tucked carefully away from busy streets lies a decent green space. I was quite shocked. State of the art playground equipment, marked baseball fields, football fields, park benches, lunch tables, trash cans, nice parking. I was truly impressed.

Ran my regional race for cross country here, and had the best time of my season. It looked like a really nice park, and I would totally go there to just chill, there's plenty of space for any activities if you want to do anything else though.

Love Brownthrush Park!! but needs trashed picked up from fireworks and few limbs. Best park wish had splashed make it perfect already I'd but trees love water

Except for a weird creepy old man that drove by me twice and gocked at me. I confronted him and asked if he would like to take a picture, that it would last longer. Hey said I was just driving around. Yeah right buddy. Stay out of the park unless your going to park, get out of your car, and take in an activity associated with being in the park. For instance I shot some hoops on the basketball court, sat on a swing bench by the pond and took in the beauty and sounds of nature, and walked around the park dribbling my B- Ball.

This is a small park but it's completely in an area that is away from heavy traffic.. Nice place to jog and walk your dog there is also play equipment there nice large area I would recommend.

Within Wichita city limits there is a place that offers a beautiful breath of fresh air and pride of our freedom. This simple, yet beautiful park highlighted by the famous Kansas prairie field it's on. This place of peace gives you and yours that special picnic moument and the space for the whole family to run. The fully equipped playground offers swings, slides and obsticals for all sizes and ages. The professional sized baseball field and major leauge baseball/softball fields are shared in this unique park. Be sure to bring your pooch and let them play at the new dog park. There's enough room for any outside adventure to last all day AND the next. Brownthrush is open all day, everyday. Your first visit, won't be your last. This is Kansas prairie, feel it.

Nice park to take the kids to anytime! Colorful play equipment and peaceful. Plenty of room to let the dog run and the kids play soccer or baseball

The park is not overly large. It was not crowded. Kids were able to play comfortably without the worry of social distance.

Love it there! Me and my daughter and my GPA Nacho walked around hit golf balls .plus he would let city know when the limbs of the trees needed trimmed lol

Love it! Fully paved all around the park. My favorite walking path. Once around is 1 mile!
