Daimaru Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi

I took my daughter there for her 17th birthday with two of her friends. We oooed and ahhhd, laughed and devoured. Everything we ate was impeccably perfect! I will definitely be going back... The prices range from 10$ and up to around 30$ for a meal. It is definitely a special place that deserves a nice tip with the entertaining environment! ❤ it!

We had an amazing time. My dad turned 18 with 47 years experience! I made lunch reservations. It was my parents first time. Our chef was fun. In fact after years of my faja trying to set me on fire for my fourth of July birthday, chef almost caught his beard on fire!! Revenge! A dish best served at Daimaru's! Food was amazing tender juicy and perfectly seasoned!! Special thanks to Elvyie!! Your attitude and glow made my day!

Vic was absolutely amazing. Hands down the best experience we had. And all of our experiences have been amazing here. Vic was able to find a common ground with all 10 of us. And that made this a great experience. We come for birthdays. So we will be back next month too.

Excellent! We have been on the road and needed a change from burgers and BBQ and we found this place. Our chef was amazing doing tricks with his hat, trying to get the kids to catch shrimp in their mouth, and making jokes to make us laugh. Great job! Loved it!

Austin was a great cook and the atmosphere was wonderful. Wasn't to busy and we had a grill to ourselves. It was a very nice way to celebrate our birthdays. The waitress was Fabulous. Actually all of them were. They brought dessert and sang HB to us. Austin took a small zucchini piece a d put it in our fried rice with a candle in it and sang to us also. Fantastic evening this past Thursday night.

We drive from Hays, KS just to eat here. The teppanyaki grill is always so good. They gave great portions of anything you order. The atmosphere is fun and prices are very reasonable. We almost always get the steak and chicken combo. You will not go wrong eating here!

We had a great time. Our chef was Andy. He was better than any chef we’ve had at this type of restaurant. As a former Disney cast member he could go to Epcot tomorrow and cook at the Japanese pavilion !!! He knew how to engage our group and didn’t do the same “tricks” that we’ve seen in other Japanese steak houses. Portions were good sized and delicious. Everything was fresh. Service was good, no waiting on drink refills. Clean bathrooms. On site parking. Next time we’re in Salina, we’ll be back.

The nice young lady who sat me at my table also turned out to be my waitress. This was very nice because I was able to place my drink order right away, it was very hot out so I was rather thirsty.
After looking through the menu I decided on tuna tataki, the tiki sushi roll, and a salad with house dressing(the sushi came with choice of soup or salad). I wasn't picky so I told the waitress to just bring it out as the items were done.
This resulted in the salad coming out first(I love the house dressing), then the tuna, and finally the sushi.
Everything was wonderful, it was a great and filling meal. While the meal was filling it wasn't a "heavy" meal which was perfect considering the 100 degree day.
I will definitely be back and bring friends as well.

The taste is good and it is localized taste but it is good!

I like bento box at the lunch.
The rice of sushi doesn't have vinegar,
so it's not same as Japanese one, but it's acceptable.

We had such a great exam experience here! Great sushi, the jalapeño cheese bites were delish, and the crab ragoons were good as well. The hibachi was fantastic. We had the salmon, steak, and chicken and we loved it all! The veggies needed to be cooked a bit longer but we still had a great experience here. Great service as well.

Great variety of food and delicious, my kids also loved it. We were just passing by this little town.

April's Sushi Special, The Cattleman Roll. Delicious Filet Mingon, Asparagus, and Cream Cheese with a sweet Chili Soy sauce. Truly a one of a kind! Yumm.

Always a great time here. Food never disappoints, sushi is great. The hibachi compares to any big town. Just can’t go wrong here.

My first time in Kansas and was craving sushi so I came to Daimaru. The staff is friendly and Rob is a good server. They have a great selection of food to choose from and when I ordered, the food came out quick and fresh. I will be back a couple more times before I leave.

We had a wonderful experience!! Our daughter chose it for her 15th birthday dinner and it was great!!! Our Hibachi Chef was funny and did great and our server was really nice and attentive. We all loved our food and had some to take home!!

So we were here for my son's birthday. Not only did we end up in a grill top with some really rude people but they seemed to just be out to ruin it for everyone else. I have never been so greatful for Justine our waitress and Christian our grill master. They made my son's day with pictures, a hat, smiles, lots of laughs and just great personality. So they food was great but we couldn't have asked for a better people to celebrate with cause they made it a perfect atmosphere.

Choose the sampler and a roll split between 2 adults, highly recommend if you're adventurous! Plum sake was delicious. Staff was friendly and helpful.

I lived in Japan for 2 years and love Japanese food. Daimaru has great sushi for being in the middle of the US! I enjoy the service, food and atmosphere.

Koi fried rice was some of the best fried rice I’ve had in a long time. The spring rolls were excellent also! Staff seemed friendly and energetic.
