Ward's Garden Center & Cafe

Food is good lots of space and probably the best staff in town. The garden is big and beautiful lots of variety and fair prices. Animals are cool to see lots of exotic reptiles cool fish accessories. Tons of lawn decorations, fountains, statues mulch patio decor. Blue bunny ice cream in cafe area. Lots of parking easy access to all entry’s of the building. Knowledgeable staff of course mikes been doing this for a million years. They also offer lawn care and they do a wonderful job. Ponds to snakes, fish to ice cream

I know i travel, not much into gardening.... this place is amazing! Sunday lunch at the Cafe is the best in all of SW Kansas. They also have an old fashion ice cream counter and homemade sweets. The Garden Center is amazing with gifts, plants and enough out back to tackle any landscaping project. Bulk materials as well. You cannot find a better place anywhere. Come on out

Consistently wonderful experiences here as a breakfast spot. The staff makes you feel like family. After your meal, the garden center / pet store is great to walk around and browse. A unique experience for all it has to offer. Highly recommended.

We took our group of 40 kindergartners here for a field trip last week. It was awesome and they loved it. They have a cute petting zoo, nice playground, fun train ride, and an engaging life cycle of a pumpkin lesson. Plus the students took home rocks they painted and pumpkins. It was well worth $7 a child. I would definitely make plans to go again next year!

Such a fun place to take kids... they love viewing all the animals!! Such an awesome place to find lunch also!! Many amazing sandwiches... every one I've tried has been delicious!! Not to mention the sweet potato fries and yummy ice cream!!😋

Very nice selection of indoor and outdoor plants and trees. This store usually has two or three puppies and/or kittens for sale, and a good selection of lizards, fish, frogs, and birds. The staff is usually friendly, but I have been there when they seem to have some issues between them that come out toward the customers.

Had the omelet and was extremely impressed! Great home style cooking, large portions, friendly staff, clean facility. Excited to eat lunch next time. Best diner in town!!! My new place.

I love the place! It has everything a garden center needs AND has an awesome pet store AND a fantastic gift shop AND a quaint little sandwich shop! The owners and staff are always friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. It's easy to see why this is one of Garden City's best and longest running businesses.

I had a very good experience here! I came for fish and that is exactly what I got. The staff is great as well! I really think this is a well run business, and I will more than likely come again.

Always good food here! Many menu choices for all tastes and diets. Very clean and bright. Waitresses and food are pretty fast and helpful. Good ice cream and tea!

Friendly service in the gardens and the cafe. It's great to see a shop promoting native plants, especially in a hot and dry place like SW Kansas! You can tell the owners really care about their customers' satisfaction. Also, seems to be the only place open on a Sunday with fresh brewed iced tea and free WiFi!!

This interesting store has a nice cafe with great food offerings and delivery available, a fair selection of ice cream, pets and pet care items as well as lovely garden and patio items. I enjoy every visit and find something new and unique!

Just the greatest place to shop eat buy garden plants pet's you name it greatest selections around town greatest people to help you find and buy all the good thing's there are out there to buy love that place greatest people to help you dining out is. The best place to layout also.

I needed rocks to fill a hole. I went to ward's garden and was looking at their rocks, gravel in the back. I noticed smaller piles of dirt, rock and saw no price signs. I asked Mr. Ward, for the price. Mr. Ward said it was his trash and it was free and he would load it the trailer at no cost. I did buy some rock for the yard and he loaded the trash dirt for free. Thanks Mr. Ward.
