I can't even begin to express how amazing everyone is in the service dept at Lewis Chevrolet of Garden City Kansas. My husband and I were on vacation with a group of friends when our truck broke down and they were the only location that would even look at our truck. Unfortunately, we found out we needed a new transmission which had us completely stressed out. No one else could get us in for at least 3 weeks, but the team at Lewis Chevrolet worked us in. Our group had to keep going to our destination while we had to stay behind to rent a U-haul the next morning. One of the service team drove us to a hotel and even picked us up the next morning and drove us to the rental place. They kept us posted of everything they were working on while we were on vacation and had our truck ready for us when we came back through 5 days later. The day we broke down it was 100 degrees and 10 of us were standing in their lot making calls everywhere trying to find a rental and they brought us out waters trying their best to help make a stressful situation better. I've never met a better group of people at a dealership like I have than at Lewis Chevrolet in Garden City Kansas. A huge shout out and thank you to Bobby, Austin and the whole service dept team, you are the absolute BEST and you helped make our vacation that started out bad turn out fantastic because we knew our vehicle was in great hands!

Excellent experience purchasing a new Chevy Bolt. Did the entire transaction via text with Jim. He had everything ready when I came in so it took no time at all. Great price on the car, fair trade in value and no pressure whatsoever to purchase anything additional. All car dealers should follow their model.

We were on vacation when our vehicle broke down in Greensburg Kansas, on a Friday afternoon. After contacting AAA we waited 3 hours in the sweltering hot sun on a wrecker. Upon presenting proof of our AAA membership we were charged $200 on top of that. We were towed 45 miles to Lewis Chevrolet of Dodge City, Kansas, where the tow driver dropped us and left. Being from another state, knowing no one in Dodge, getting dark we really thought that we would be staying in our car. After 3 motels we finally found a motel. Four calls to no answering taxi’s later we found one and was taken to a motel. Saturday morning we called a taxi and arrived at Lewis Chevrolet and got to talk to a man in the shop. He really tried to help us but could not get the part needed until Monday. Therefore we would be staying in the motel and walking, or depending on a $5 a mile taxi. Fortunately a man (later learned that he was Todd Rostetter, the General Manager) was at the front desk as I vented my story to him. We called 5 car rentals in Dodge City, and Garden City. All who were closed on the weekend! (I guess people don’t rent cars on the weekends in Kansas)Mr. Rostetter signaled one of his employees to bring up a near new Chevrolet and backed it in front of the dealership. Todd said we’re going to get you a car that you can use until your car is repaired on Monday. My wife nor I could not believe what Mr. Rostetter was doing! He didn’t know us from Adam. We were from another state. Todd Rostetter stayed on top of the issue until our car was repaired. Our faith in humanity was restored! Long story short, our car was repaired, but we purchased the car from Lewis Chevrolet that had been loaned to us. We have to say that Todd Rostetter, and the folks at Lewis Chevrolet are Super People! We strongly recommend them to anyone who may be interested in buying a vehicle, or having one serviced! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Todd Rostetter, and crew!!! You are to be commended!!!

Jim Weatherred and his team went above and beyond to make the purchase of my Bolt EV as good of an experience for me as possible. No dealer markups or forced add-ons; communication was excellent and never pressured me to finalize the sale before I was ready (even though after the sale I learned other prospective buyers were waiting). The car and supporting documentation was 100% ready when I arrived for pickup, fully charged, and clean. Apparently this was the first EV the dealer had sold - it did not show; as opposed to horror stories I've read of other customers' experiences at dealers in other cities, everyone here seemed like they truly cared about having their customers leave feeling positive and wanting to return. Bravo.

Every time I call or stop by all of the staff is very helpful and pleasant. I won't ever purchase a vehicle or have any of my vehicles serviced anywhere else. I also tell my family and friends how great the staff and service is at Lewis Chevrolet of Garden City.

When I (January) now just realized that a mistake was made by the service tech during my last service visit last September the Service Manage directly and immediately addressed the problem. I was also not charged for the corrective service. It was not a huge error but one that could compromise the integrity of the engine. ( Leaving the dip stick for the oil laying on the windshield cowl). It is owing to the design of the Chevy Equinox engine that it is still running and not at this time showing in damage.

We have continued to be very pleased with Lewis Chevrolet of Garden City for our vehicle service needs. They are very knowledgeable, professional, and helpful. Great and dependable service.

My father was in Kansas taking care of a family emergency when his truck broke down. Not knowing any reputable repair shops, needing reliable transportation, and with me planning on buying a truck anyway, I was able to purchase a new Silverado completely online with very little hassle and they even delivered my truck to my father over an hour away and showed him how to do all the techy stuff that my father needed help with. They even printed off my insurance card that I emailed them so that my father would be 100% legal on the road. The entire process took 3 days, with my bank being the slow portion lol. Thank you Jim Weatherred for helping my family out in a time of need.

Came home to visit my folks for Thanksgiving. Brake assist went bad while in Garden City on my '17 Silverado. GM never notified me of recall. The shop at Lewis Motors replaced the vacuum pump the day after Thanksgiving & I was able to get my family safely back home. Much respect to y'all! Thank you!
