8° Below Rolled Ice Cream

Oh man, posting these pictures makes me want to go back right now! This place is fun. The location is interesting and it's an open-front store - almost made me feel like we were in a nicer-than-Wichita city, like our favorite city Chicago. But on to the ice cream. You pick your flavors and add-ins, they mix it all together, then smear it onto a surface that, I'm assuming, is 8° (clever, clever, huh?). After it's flat, they scrape it up into rolls and stand it up in a cup, topping it decoratively. I think it gives the ice cream an interesting texture so that's fun too. We got Pink Lady and French Toast.

So yummy! Lots of ice cream, not to mention...some of my favorites...taro, lychee, mochi!!!

Very yummy and good experience, kid enjoyed seeing their ice cream rolls getting made and flavor was great!!

This place has amazing Ice cream. This place is amazing to hangout at as well. I definitely recommend this place!

I love this place so much! My girlfriend and I surely do enjoy going here on a hot summer day and getting some of there very delicious ice cream. We wouldn’t want to get are tasty treats anywhere else. Staff is fun and friendly and the service is exceptional. Highly recommend to anyone. Very fun and kid friendly. Thanks 8 below!!!

The guys who work there are very friendly. They are quick and the ice cream is tasty. Great for all ages and a fun place for the family, couldn’t be in a better location. To all the people who complain about the slow service it does take time to make the ice cream and they are literally making the ice cream in front of you it takes time it’s not like traditional ice cream that you just scoop up , and if you’ve ever worked in the food/retail industry you’d understand how stressful it gets when people complain when your doing the best you can especially when it’s busy.

This place was so, so good!! We went on a busy Saturday night, but the owner was super friendly and made it a good experience even though they were slammed. And the ice cream was DELICIOUS! They make their brownies in house, and you can tell because they are SO yummy! I definitely recommend this place for a fun date night!

Really good and fun ice cream! It's neat to watch them put it all together right in front of you. The building is very small with only a few chairs, but you usually don't stay in the building to eat ice cream anyway, especially when it's nice out. Will be going back!

Phenomenal! Excellent customer service. Loved watching them get our ice cream ready. They even cleaned the tables when I offered to do it. Especially like the flat fee $6 for every dish. Will definitely be back! And its a great place to sit. Lots of historical ICT all around you.

Omg, yes. I love the ice cream here. Plus they have a military discount!? I'm in. I will say, if your looking for phenomenal ice cream, in a unique serving style... this is the place you'd wanna go with. Plus you can see everything they are doing behind the glass, so you know what is being done to your food. I come here everytime i go to Wichita. Love it. Every time.

What an awesome place to get some ice cream. There was a lot of choices. The prices we're definitely reasonable. Made right in front of you. Definitely a place to take someone that shows the uniqueness of Wichita.

It's super tiny inside but there are maybe 2 small tables to sit inside and several outside . With that said it has become one of our favorite places to stop in when passing through Wichita. One we really enjoy is the espresso with peanutbutter cup. Our kids love it as well.

My husband and I love this place. Yes it's got a long line and a long wait right, but it's brand new, new people doing a new skill they have to learn, and it's frickin hot right now outside. Rolling icecream and chopping it up can't be easy. Of course everyone is going to want the new trend. The line obviously is there to watch them work. If there is no one in front of the CASHIER then they arent ordering. They are there to see it done... Yes, they have some learning to do, and some work to put in because they opened on the hottest month. But the icecream is great, they use every fresh ingredient. Go to another yogurt place or any other icecream place in town, and get fresh strawberries and fresh mango. No it's all frozen, or it's been sitting out for too long and they don't have normal flavors. Gross!! Here they are keeping it simple, fresh, and the times we have gone, the employees are kind even if it's a long wait. Last time, they asked for our number to tell us when to come back for our icecream. I really hope this place stays..its the only place I want icecream. I hope that these reviews start using their brains. Give it time to learn.

THIS WAs my first time and oh my goodness I loved it!!! Not many ppl serve banana icecream and I’m in love with bananas. I got the chunky monkey with less Nutella and Oreo and my other toppings on the side for my son. So good he kept telling me to stop smacking. It’s expensive but the employees were friendly and the experience of just watching was super cool for me. I came late so it didn’t take long and wasn’t but 2 ppl in front of me.

The amount of flavors and combos are extensive. I had the green tea matcha one and loved it! Tiny shop but still very cool vibe! Loved watching them Jake l make it right in front of me.

Amazing ice cream, and even if you have to wait a bit longer for it then normal places, it's totally worth it!

Must have ice cream. Yes service is slower at times ITS HAND MADE! Always worth the wait. Love this place and the product produced.

The ice cream is fun and it tastes great! The matcha wasn't too sweet and my small companions inhaled the mint with extra toppings.
