South Riverside Park

An incredible section of Riverside Park, just north of Seneca and McLean, and accessible using Central. The paved path found here has one of the more scenic walks of any Wichita park. The amount of lush and lively trees to see here is impressive, giving the area lots of shade while enjoying the stroll next to the river. One section of the park has low growing, drooping trees that are fascinating to to see with such low hanging but very large branches. This park also has rentable courts for pickle ball and tennis as well as an indoor training center. Also in the area is a rowing center which has kayaks available for rent and docks for multiple activities in the river. This is a special place in Wichita and I highly encourage the city to pay it a visit.

Good place to kayak or row. Has decent entry points to the river. Great scenery and and plenty of room for multiple people on the water.

We celebrated my step dad’s birthday here at the pickleball courts and the club house. While the club house ended up being almost too small for us, it’s because we had 50+ people. It did hold several tables and we were able to put all of the food spread out. Plus, thankfully, there are several outdoor picnic tables to accommodate everybody. Everybody seemed to have a great time and so it’s a great place to have fun and hang out!

Riverside tennis courts - my daughter has been taking group tennis lessons here for almost a year and loves it.

When everything in life makes no sense and confusion has become your sanity. When what you once called " living " or "Iife" is now called "Not Dying" or "Not Dead" . Life or Living is no longer a positive or a blessing that is nice and smooth...it's become the must , just for the fact you made it , just so you could flip them off.... then ....He helps you come back to him and he shows you why he's great

Awesome facility. The courts are in very good shape Great lighting for both tennis and pickleball courts. The staff is very helpful and nice. Ample parking and handicap accessible. I highly recommend this venue. Enjoy.

I love Riverside both north and south including the parks. Fond memories as a kid going with my mom and brother to feed geese, visit the lil zoo, which way back when I was a lil kid man, had a concrete pond I believe where the parking lot is now, and they had mini alligators in there. Several great memories at this park throughout my youth and adult years. I'd not rather live in any other part of the city over Riverside.

Best outdoor courts in Wichita. Excellent central location.
Competitive leagues. Cheaper than Genesis.

We play pickleball there. It's a beautiful setting: water trees sunshine fresh air ...

City of Wichita Public Park. Nice playground for the kids. Plenty of picnic tables and trash cans. Small wild animal exibit featuring Kansas wildlife. Historical markers with information about park and Wichita history. Nice splash pad for kids to cool off and play in. No public grills so bring your own.

Tennis lessons for everyone. Great coaching staff.

Beautiful park great spot for hammocking

Nice park along the Arkansas river. A small zoo with Kansas wildlife and a play area for kids that have fountains the kids can run thru in the summer. Down the road is the Wichita art museum.

Best park in town. Lots of room to run and frolic, generally full of people but not overly crowded. Lots to do. The zoo is a nice perk.

Great place to play pickleball and tennis. Very large complex with multiple courts. Open late and very well lit.

Love playing tennis here. Great facility.

I can't say enough about this park! It's near many places of interest that are within walking distance, but you have to see for yourself.
Don't know why someone would rate this less then excellent?

Beautiful park that is set along the river with large mature trees and great walking and bicycling paths.
