El Agave Mexican Restaurant

We had a late afternoon snack and drinks. The mango vodka-rita was fantastic!!! We ordered the ceviche, and I was in love after adding the salsa in it - fresh avocado topped it off - YUM!!! I can't wait to come back for another round!

I've visited Wichita for work on 3-4 separate occasions over the past few months.. On each of these, I've spied El Agave and wondered whether or not I should try them out..

This trip sealed the deal.. Invited by a pair of fellow Army retirees, we ambled in for dinner and drinks on a Wednesday night..

I sampled their Texas Margarita, featuring 1800 Reposado and brandy, for starters.. This thing was unexpectedly deelish and refreshing.. It was a very nice departure from a typical lime-based margarita and went down as smooth as could be..

For my meal, I opted into their Fajitas Jalisco, featuring grilled steak, shrimp, chicken, and chorizo.. The Fajitas were delivered to the table piping hot and had an abundance of great flavor..

The setup and sides were pretty standard but super fresh.. And what was really cool is that the hot foods were hot and the cold foods were cool and crisp as they should be..

A solid 5 out of 5 for me for ambiance and the food.. I deducted a point for the service, as it took us flagging down a head server to take our orders after our original server seemed to wander off..

Otherwise, it was an excellent experience, and I'm definitely going to return on my next visit to the Wichita area for work.. 🙌

My absolute favorite little dining spot. Always always great queso and food!

Had lunch Saturday afternoon. Seated very quickly, and waiter was quick to bring the chips and salsa, which was very delicious. Food was out quickly. The carne asada was excellent. Will definitely return.

This has become my favorite restaurant. The service is excellent. Everyone is always on top of everything. The food is fast and delicious. Chips and salsa are excellent. So thankful this place is near us. Authentic and highly recommended 👌

Super yummy food! Great wait staff! Make sure to not go on a weekend during the dinner rush though, it's a bit of a wait. Definitely worth the wait though! The fajitas were amazing! 😍

Sunday, our extended family had great service during our wonderful meal at El Agave. I paid with a credit card but, had unknowingly dropped my card while exiting. Tuesday I was searching and called the restaurant. Yes, it was secure and happily returned to me. Thank you for your service and honesty!

El Agave is one of my favorites! Our meal is serve fresh, hot, and tasty. The quesadilla fajita with steak is my go-to dish, and I'm never disappointed! Be sure to get their cheese dip with your chips. You can thank me later...

Perfect al pastor tacos. Nice thin and crispy chips and they give you your own bottle of salsa. Only spent $24 for the both of us. Great service. 10/10 exactly what I desire when I get Mexican food

The service was good but it was very busy so they couldn't get to everyone as quickly as they do when there's less people.

Great place for Mexican food! The service was great and very friendly. There are a lot of options to choose from with all the various items in their menu. They have all of the usual Mexican food along with seafood.
Give this place a try if you are in the area!

El Agave is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in town when it comes to sitting down and having a meal. I've visited 6 times or more now, and everything had been excellent. I've always had excellent service, amazing food, and I'm always shocked when I get the bill in a good way!

FINALLY a Mexican restaurant far west Wichita can be proud of. The salsa=fresh well seasoned the white queso could only be described as spectacular. Each main course was delightful and well portioned. The pricing was around 9-12$ per person. While it was apparent the staff was still working out the kinks in service the wait staff lead by manager Luis we're all very accommodating and worked hard at delivering food fast and friendly. I was especially impressed with the rice. Nothing bland was on the plate from the chicken inside the chimi to each slice of steak on the carne asada. I can only hope that my next visit is as successful.

I love this place. The food is good and the customer service is fast and nice. My favorite Mexican restaurant in Wichita. I mainly get their margaritas and carne asada.

Went to the west location- Yummy carne asada!! Very nice staff, especially our waiter. He was very pleasant, patient, fun & upbeat! We will return when we are back in the area!
