Alondra's Tacos

A Carryout Assorted Taco Order: I opened up the container and a huge whiff of seasoned meats and cilantro pleasantly hit me in the face. A nice presentation, I was pleasantly surprised that the tortillas were doubled up and there were plenty of lime wedges for squeezing. All the tacos were dressed the same, with plenty of fresh onion and cilantro. I got sauce on the side, but frankly, it wasn't needed. All the tacos were generous in portion and the meats well seasoned, tender and juicy. All the tacos were equally good, it was hard to pick a favorite and there's something to be said for keeping things simple. When your ingredients are high quality and fresh, you don't need a whole lot to really get a taco to sing. Properly seasoned & cooked meats + cilantro & onion + a squeeze of lime + fresh tortillas = A damn good taco, with the Al Pastor tops in the bunch.

CASH ONLY!! They have legit, great authentic tacos here. The food was different but in a good way and served on paper plates. They also sell beer and everything has to be ordered from the front. They don’t come to your table, other than to bring you food. Don’t expect any type of ambiance or anything fancy. Take our appears to be the preference for this establishment and it’s all about the eatsssss!!

Alondra's has been one of my favorites for several years. A small shop with friendly staff and delicious food. I've tried most of their menu and haven't been disappointed with any of it. Their barbacoa is some of the best in town, which means it is rich and properly greasy. The carnitas is tender with the fantastic crispy edges from a hot griddle I typically get tacos, but the sopas, gorditas and everything else are great. There is also good selection of beers to wash it all down with.

Stopped in for lunch today with my dad. The staff was friendly , and the food was great. They even brought us out a free enchilada to try. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

*****CASH ONLY MEANS ITS LEGIT***** YES! Had a torta from here that no joke changed my life! Its amazing food, by local amazing people. Off of West 21st street, it's in front/side of the big Asian supermarket. Everything we had was amazing. The al pastor is to die for. The lenguna was great. And the chicken was of course great. Carne asada is great. Everything was! The bread on the torta (sandwich) is AWESOME! Loved all the fresh toppings. So great. Do yourself a favor and TRY THEM!

Great food, good prices. First time visiting and the steak tacos were really good. A few other items on the menu peaked my interest as well. Will be back to try more! CASH ONLY!

Authentic street tacos! They were so flavorful and reasonably priced. $2.25 a taco. I had chicken, barbacoa and el Pastor. El Pastor was my favorite. They have a green and red sauce. If you want spicy, go for the red!

It was delicious. I am going to be honest here. I always passed this place but i didnt know it was this good. All I can say is 👍to the kitchen staff.

My new favorite place on the northside! I'm always searching for the best pastor tacos.. And I got to rave about Alondras tacos, the flavor was delicious, the chopped meat was thick and tender. I called my order in, because it was lunch time and I did not want to wait. My food was ready to go when I arrived! Yay!! My husband had an all meat buche burrito and my very picky husband loved it also!! This is a CASH ONLY establishment with an ATM inside in case you do forget your cash. Mmmm and the spicy salsa had unforgettable flavor! I'm looking foward to my next visit!!

This place is a true gem. The pastor tacos have generous chunks of meat and never wait long at all.

Tjey make absolutely delicious tacos! Prepared well with great flavor. The staff have always been cool. Note; not all speak English.

Initial thought as I opened the box was, $1.85 plus tax for a street taco was pricy compared to other places. That all went away when I took my first bite. The corn tortillas was super fresh , the pastor was very flavorful like it should be, (fogon still is the best for pastor) and the carnitas was tender and flavor as well. Although it didn't have the crispyness I prefer. This is a must go taco spot in town, make sure to bring cash.

Downside… Cash Only.
Upside… THE BEST TRIPA TACOS outside of Mexico. I have tried tons of Tripa Tacos throughout Texas. The Tacos I had tonight were among the BEST I have ever savored. I ordered one to try them out. Then I ordered more. Lots More. The service was good. Good things come to those who wait. Trust me these tacos are worth the wait. Thank you for providing Excellent Food at a reasonable price. It’s hard to find a Good Authentic Mexican Restaurant in Kansas.

This is the most authentic Mexican food I’ve ever had. Talk about premium meat, the tacos were the best I have ever had. The customer service was wonderful as well, the cook allowed me to sample the meats before I ordered. Pork, shredded beef, and steak, go with the steak meat, you won’t regret the flavor. It’s officially my new favorite place for the true flavors of Mexico. My wife had the rice and loved it, I was too busy falling in love the Traditional Mexican Tacos!

Simply one of the best hole in the wall taco place in town. Authentic Mexican food and friendly service. Might be better to call your order ahead to avoid the waiting line.
