Went on 11/18/2023 and a group of young men were really helpful. Found some foreign card prices when I didn't know what to look up. I also got a great deal on some trade-in credit and ended up doing my first card trade in years! Highly recommend going, Ben was very helpful and I love the community here.

Excellent customer service. Amazing local comic shop I love to support. All the guys in here are more than helpful in finding anything that I'm looking for. If you're looking for back issues they've got a huge selection of older comics for a steal. If you wanna keep up with some modern comics, start a pull with them and you'll never miss an issue. Or if you just want a really cool graded comic they've got some really cool stuff. They've also got a huge selection of board games, cards, records, some old books and toys. If I'm not mistaken I think they also allow people to come and play board games and stuff there too. Very cool place, love coming here.

edit: Just want to add to this review. This store has single handedly allowed me to create a collection unlike anything I thought possible. Over fifty titles on my pull list for over a year and I'm not missing a single issue. Ben and Mike have been amazing to me. They consistently go above and beyond to satisfy customers. I look forward to going in here every week to add to my collection and just talk comics. These guys know their stuff and I've learned pretty much everything I know about the hobby because of them. You'll never feel unwelcome here, and they'll do everything in their power to help you find what you need. Highly recommend.

Great store and they were incredibly friendly. They teach Magic the gathering on Saturdays at the time of this review and have casual play on Friday nights. Good to see people here in Topeka keeping us nerd folk satisfied.

Fantastic place to hunt for a good comic! Gentleman working there was super helpful and kind to my 12yo, helping him figure out where his favorites were. Great local gem!

Having scoured the Midwest for quality magic and comic shops, I can say hands down that this store is among the best. They go both deep and wide in their selection while maintaining a price pointthat varies from reasonable to low, but never high. It's become my one stop shop for all my cardboard addictions and I look forward to returning each week to see what new wonders await me. While the organized play scene is a bit sparse here, I'm certain once it takes off, it will hold strong and an amazing new community will be born.

Great selection, friendly staff, clean and organized. My son went in to start collecting for the first time and these guys were awesome. They helped him find what he was looking for and explained how things work. We will be customers for many years.

Came here for the first time last week to look for MMPR comics. A great overall selection of comics in the store and very well organized and clean. The gentleman at the store was very nice and knowledgeable. A great place to buy gifts!

Best comic shop in the Top!

Super friendly and helpful staff, tasty back issues organized alphabetically and by publisher. I was able to walk in and get all the books I needed to fill my Death of Superman run. Great selection of keys, graded books, and new releases.

They've recently changed locations and I can't wait to see how the store comes together once they get all their cards and games out.

Came in about a week ago to check out the Pokémon selection. They have a pretty good selection of both individual cards and booster packs. Everything is fairly priced, and the staff is friendly and helpful. This place has all the charms of a classic card shop.

Great store, staff, and prices. Tons of comics to look through. Worth the hour drive for me.

Since my last review, HOC&C has changed locations to the front of the building complex. Super easy to find, and super friendly staff. I'm in there all the time now getting recommendations for comics and trade paperbacks! They also have a tabletop gaming section off to the side.

Awesome up and coming shop! The shop been around for a couple years but has recently got new owners and all new staff! They are all wonderful to work with and truly care about the community! Dan Ben and Liz are always in the shop and always willing to go out of there way to find you any issue you're looking for. Whether it's a current run book that released recently or that weird one off title from the 70s or 80s that you've been trying to find for years they will go above and beyond to find it for you! Whether through one of their many connections outside the shop or within their almost *2000 long boxes* of back issues dating back to the late 60s (even a few older even) all the way up to modern issues!! They recently moved into a new larger location and are currently processing all of the back issues and getting out new books daily! They offer the best discounts in town by far for pull lists if youre a current comic collector! Just overall a one stop shop for any collector! They also have a broad range of table top games as well as Magic, Pokemon and even Yu-Gi-Oh cards! They will be doing MTG tournaments in the very near future! I highly recommend you at least swing by and see for yourself what they are all about. And if you're tired of paying full retail for new release comics bring your pull over to them and they will take care of you! They order any title you're interested in including the hard to find Indies! And they pride themselves in being a variant strong store! So no mark ups on variants and they order a ton already that hit the shelves every week! I let this review go a bit long but I promise there's a good reason why! I hope this helps give you the push you needed to stop in and experience this awesome shop!

I absolutely ADORE this shop!

Despite being a local start up, this spot is anything but small. They have such a large range of trading card games, table top games, comics, and miscellaneous paraphernalia for "nerd" culture. That's not to mention the other utilities of the space, such as for VR gaming and game tournaments of all sorts.

The Staff!! They are SO lovely and phenomenal. My personal experiences have mostly involved Dan and Ben, who are the most considerate hosts! I always feel as though my needs, and the needs of my party come first. They're quite accommodating, and patient when dealing with inquisitive or inexperienced individuals.

The staff here is amazing. This should be your only choice when it comes to games and comics. Not only are they extremely friendly but the vast knowledge they have on everything in the "nerd" culture is unbeatable by other game shops in the area. They not only helped order the right comic books I wanted but they helped catch me up and the timeline of the story I'm reading. They also offer more than just regular comics. I'm being told they can have your comic certified and put into a protective case. This comic book store is my exclusive store I go to and I will not need to go anywhere else for years to come.

Nice shop with good peeps willing to work with you. Bought more then one card and got a lil bulk deal. Much appreciated will return next time im in town. Also HUGE comic collection with some amazing slabs

Great people, great collection
lots of Magic the Gathering and an incredibly large comic selection. Biggest carrier of Pokémon singles I've seen in Topeka. Lots of other TCG items too.
