Linwood Park

Spacious area, great walking trail, tends to be very quiet/peaceful, and the trees are wonderful.

We love the splash pad here! It had a gate all the way around, lots of shaded seating, large clean bathrooms, and it's never too crowded 👍 Linwood has a few different playgrounds, paths and even a library, so it's definitely worth a visit!

Awesome park to chill and grill and maybe even catch a baseball game or listen to a native drum line while grilling up some Coney's

Active but quite place. I sat in my car and drank coffee ppl watching about 30 mins chilling. It was peaceful.

A place so beautiful to spend with the kids and family. Though the library is not valid these days but of course it’s absolutely a wonderful place to see the seniors gathering together and spending time.

The new splash pad here is super awesome for the kids! It's fenced in as well which makes me feel better when my three little ones are running around ( they can't escape!!). Usually not very busy either.

You can take the kids swimming or play at the playground.

Perfect for kiddos, my son loved it. Has a shaded area great for hot days.

Hidden gem! Hardly anyone here even on days over 100° very clean, picnic tables with shade covers, clean restrooms, in a fenced area so you don't have to worry about the kids wondering off. Absolutely a delightful place to hang out and play with the kids!

This is a nice, clean, well kept park. I spent a large part of my day parked while organizing and cleaning my car. I was not accosted by pan handlers or anyone for that matter. Plenty of shade and ample trash recepticles made this nearby park a hidden gem in a city filled with rude, impatient and inconsiderate people. Brought me back to the days I would spend here in Wichita as a child and actually be excited about it. I hope to see more of this in the coming months.

My son had a football game here today. The field was pretty well kept. Trash cans all over, port a potty, and lots of shade around there provided by massive trees. I know there is a nice play ground and a good size pool as well.

Ill give it 5 stars because theres no problem but I think its wack that they got rid of the pool and diving boards. The pool accomidated people of all ages, the splash park not so much. If youre an adult and you want to swim outside, youll have to go to the Y or Rock River Rapids in Derby

One of my favorite places in the city, very big nice tree coverage basketball court, tennis court. I used to think they have disc hockey or disc golf Maybe I don't know. Is also a Rec Center and they have live baseball games in the field out there and horseshoes. I created the village and had seven women 27 kids you raised them all as one that park has seen at least 30_35+ birthday parties, 5 Easters, 3 Mother's Days 3 fourth of July's and I'm pretty sure one Labor Day! The most awesome thing about this part is right in the parking lot there's a public swimming pool so if you want to have a birthday party in the park they charge you one price $8 for up to 12 people and a dollar per person after that and you can come and go as you please.

A lovely good size park in the middle of the city, great bike path across the street that runs along Interstate 135... a great place to walk your dog or play with your kids and a recreation center with gym is on the property as well.

We visited the Linwood Library today, and it was the best Library experience we have had in a long time. It is a small neighborhood branch, with 7 computers dedicated to public use, and there is a kid corner for the little ones to play and occupy themselves while the adults look for books/DVDs. The selection was surprisingly good for how small of a location it is, they manage to rotate their stock on a monthly basis. And best of all, the customer service was OUTSTANDING! There are two librarians there at all times, and they do way more than just check stuff out - they are well versed in modern IT issues, know how to find anything you may be looking for, and most importantly always willing to help. Honestly, the best customer service I've seen this city provide!

Great park & recreation center. My family has been using the library for more than 30 yrs. The classes & the senior center are great. My mom enjoys her time at the senior center.

I love this park its really a huge park and they do have events they do now and then. Its a pretty safe area, but please keep eyes on your children cause while its a safe area its near an area thats quite well known for shootings and crime.
This place is just beautiful in the fall when the leaves are falling, lots of trees for leaves and leaf piles. Its a nice place for kids. Theres a library next to the park, theres another park by the school, theres a pool and tennis courts and a basketball hoop and a trail. Really really nice area. They also have sledding hills by mt vernon.

Nice splash pad. My granddaughter had a nice time. I would love a dog friendly water attraction available in Wichita!
