Blackbird is a treat!

I was hunting for good coffee, and ended up finding far more, in the best possible ways. I am thoroughly impressed. Not only was the coffee delicious, but the food that we got was phenomenal!

The atmosphere is being newly remodeled, and I can't wait to see what it looks like completely done. Very laid back, and easy to just enjoy the comfort. Great lighting, and plenty of seating.

I was extremely surprised that this lovely place also has liquor and beer as well! Even beer on tap!

The staff was friendly, funny, and down to earth. The type of folks you could easily chat with about anything. Also quite knowledge about the ongoings of this shop.

Absolutely looking forward to coming back and trying out more of the food and drinks.

This place has become my wife and my favorite place for dates! The coffee, snacks, food and atmosphere is excellent! We came in this morning for pazole and it was better than any other restaurant. Also, they have alcohol if you want a nice cold beer. Love this place!

Popped into Blackbird on our way across the country, due to its great coffee and food reviews. So glad we did. The food, coffee and service were excellent. The owner even took the added effort to run across the street into Gage Park to bring us food they forgot to put into our to-go bag. Wow! Highly recommend this bistro.

I had an English Toffee Latte and my daughter had a hot Caramel Latte. I also bought a Cinnamon Coffee Cake, a Blueberry Cake and a Cranberry Muffin. They were so good, Really moist.

We ordered 5 gallons of hot chocolate and 5 gallons of coffee for our staff for part of our countdown to Christmas break! They all LOVED it!! Great customer service and the drinks are delicious! Highly recommend!! :)

Went for a quick breakfast for our trip back to Kansas City. I did order Tomato and cheese sandwich with potato salad. I requested to remove tomato. Sandwich was nice and hot , and potato salad was tasty. I did order cappuccino, small. Did seem like it had only half full, cappuccino was good though! Will go here again for breakfast in our next trip.

Delicious! We ordered three lunch items. My hubby LOVED the smoked salmon BLT. We also had coffee and pastries. The strawberry orange shortbread was so tasty 🤤

Super fast and amazing service. The Carmel Macchiato was hot and delicious. Great selection without being overwhelmed with different options.

Great place for coffee and a bite to eat! We got simple breakfast wraps, but their bakery items looked amazing! And the coffee was a great pick me up. Masks are required, but they have extra right as you walk in and hand sanitizer.

I've always received great service during my visits to this bistro. The coffee is fantastic, as well as the food. Pricing is pretty typical for most coffee shops but still affordable. The atmosphere is quaint, tucked in the Fleming Place shopping plaza, but don't let the small exterior fool you. There is ample seating indoors and out.

Great food, great coffee and a cozy location. I wouldn’t be mad if the bahn mi joined the menu full time, though 👀👀

The food is always delightful with a nice low key vibe to the Cafe. I've eaten here 3x - each time trying a new menu item and each time being very pleased with my food! 😊 Last time I got a couple pastries as well and they were excellent!

We had a family gathering in SD and were all on way home to Texas and daughter (who was driving straight through) stopped here and told me and her dad (who left after and stayed mooing Topeka) we had to stop. We got coffee and a cinnamon bun and all of it was amazing.

Blackbird is a great, local café/bistro and honestly, the best place to grab coffee in Topeka. Always consistently great food and good coffee. The staff are always friendly and super helpful. The place itself is clean and comfortable. Wide doors and open space make it wheelchair accessible. It's a prominent community asset for Topeka and we are lucky to have them!

My husband and I just stopped in for coffees and shared one of their many delicious desserts. We like to go there when we're in the neighborhood

Lovely local coffee shop. Friendly at the counter, really delicious coffee (and I got a decaf latte which is too often not nearly as good as a regular) and super quick. Tasty pumpkin bread too. Only tiny complaint, if you can call it that, is the coffee wasn’t really hot enough for carry out. Temp would have been perfect if I’d been sitting there to drink immediately.

When I find a place that I like, many times I order the same thing over and over. This is not that place. I have tried many of their entrees. Everything I have eaten there has been excellent. Every barista has made the same coffee order the same way with no difference in taste or quality. It is not an expensive event. It is a quality event. Fruit is always an option with every meal that I have enjoyed. The music is low key and it is easy to talk to a group without raising a voice. Overall, it is a pleasant dining and coffee experience that is easy on the pocket. One gets high value and high quality for a reasonable price. Their rubens---Excellent. Their breakfast sandwiches---Inventive and Excellent. Coffee always superb.
