I had a smothered burrito to go, (forgot chips) I left , went down the street stopped by a food truck, low and behold it was from the same owner!! So I got chips and guacamole from them Loved it!! When I come back I will definitely stop in again. 😋👍👍

True authentic food! We just moved here and it’s our go to place every time! I’ve never had anything like it! Definitely the best hole in the wall place and very sweet people running it! I can’t recommend this place enough it’s a definite MUST have!:)

Thoroughly impressed with every element of these meals. Both kinds of enchiladas were perfect, salsa with free chips was nice and spicy

The 1 star reviews baffle me. You pay for quality food. You want bargain mediocre Mexican, go to a chain. The food here is outstanding! Yes, it’s rough around the edges. Again, you’re here for the food. Chorizo, al pastor, tripa, carne asada, and carnitas tacos were on point. And the chile relleno was bomb. I’ll be back.

The staff were very friendly and the food came out quickly! I got the pork torta which was savory, soft, fresh, flavorful and gone in an instant even though it was pretty big!

This place is the real deal. Service was awesome, and you can tell that the staff really values your business. The food was some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. Ignore any and all negative reviews.

Fairly close to closing time when I walked in. I asked the cook to make me whatever he thought was his best dish to go. My favorite is letting people make what they know is good. We are too picky nowadays, shut up and enjoy the ride. You might be surprised what you actually like when you give it a chance. As he was making my bistek Mexicano, I ordered a Texas hot dog out of pure necessity and curiosity. As an added bonus he made me some of his SOON TO BE FAMOUS “Mexican Donuts”. Crispy, chewy, sugary, cinnamony, circles of goodness that didn’t make it 2 blocks away before they were gone. The bistek was marinated and cooked perfectly. A very tightly grained cut of meat, yet still tender. Topped with cheese, onions, tomatoes, and jalapeños to complete the colors of the Mexican flag. The refried beans were creamy with just the right amount of texture. I could not discern all 3? condiments on the Texas dog but they made the perfect compliment to the onions and green peppers atop a plump frankfurter inside a butter toasted bun. Lastly as one of the few people that are not a fan of crinkle cut fries, I found myself repeatedly returning to them until they were no more.

I ordered two tacos and these two tacos are going to make me come back. Friendly girls behind the counter took our order and made the tacos . Tacos were hot and so juicy I have had many street tacos and these tacos were beyond amazing!! They have carry out and a drive thru or you can eat in! Their sign says best tacos in ks and congratulations these are definitely contenders!!!! I'm going back for lunch before I leave

Had Steak asado tacos were delicious, beans&rice also very good. Agua De Fresa was to die for smallplace, but Great service!!! Will definitely eat there again.

What can I say, they have a huge selection and huge flavors. I got a spicy Torta with spicy pork and pork loin. This thing has huge flavor. I'm definitely going to make a trip back to try something different. They had 40 Tortas on the menu. The entire menu is huge, if you can't find what you're looking for there then you're obviously not in the mood for Mexican food. I'm going back tomorrow!

This is the best, coolest place. We came here with 12 people and our food was out in 20 minutes or less. They are so nice and the food is AMAZING. It’s vegetarian friendly, authentic, and just a really stand-up place.

Called in a taco plate, to beef one pork. Excellent quality. Ready when I got there. Very friendly. Highly recommend

Great Mexican food and reasonable prices. If your in Garden stop by and get some good food! Not sure why it's listed as a seafood restaurant. The only seafood on the menu is fish tacos.

Do not let the look of the place fool you. This place has authentic great tasting food. Best spot for Mexican food !! 100% would recommend!

La estrella had easily been in gc for around 10 years? I started going when they were in their mobile food trailer....they have progressively gotten better and they started off amazing. My only wish is that they would be able to serve lengua every day. But anything you choose you are sure to be delighted!
