Tanya's Soup Kitchen

I’ve never been a soup person - I’ll eat it when I’m sick or if it’s cold out, but I’d never go out of my way to have soup for a meal. But that all changed today.

I saw that they had an Irish Clam Chowder as one of their daily soup specials and decided to try it. Best decision I made all week - I practically devoured the soup in one go because it was just that good. And their sourdough rolls are absolutely perfect, I could honestly eat a dozen of these alone for lunch and be completely satisfied.

Cant wait to try out their sandwiches and soup flavors!!

I really love the great food, prices, service, and environment. I have never been disappointed with the wonderful food. I most recently had the yummy lentil soup and pasta, with a huge peanut butter (gluten free) cookie, and left feeling happy and full. Thanks for the super speedy service, delicious menu, and wonderful atmosphere. Wichita is lucky to have you!

The food and service was outstanding. City chicken sandwich, tomato bisque, and chicken noodle were amazing. The employees were so kind to my family.

Daughter and I visited here in 2019, and it's been on my mind since then to eat here again. This was the weekend! Daughter and her husband cleaned up their vegan dishes while I relished the chicken salad I ordered. My suggestion would be to go before noon because at 12:00 there was a line out the door.

One of my favorite sandwich places in town. We like to go there either Friday or Saturday evening as we enjoy it when it is less busy. Really enjoy their soups as well. Can’t go wrong with any of their sandwiches but I enjoy the North Star. Service is always great with friendly people.

Cooler day and we decided on some very tasty soup options. Homemade chicken & noodle with mashed potatoes and a tomato soup full of flavor. Some of the best soup to be had here. Service was awesome too!!

First time coming here and loved it! I'm a huge soup girl, so this was my place. I loved the warm and welcoming atmosphere. My meal was delicious and the portions felt huge...I only got the "tiny" portions and they felt like too much!! Perfect lunch stop and can't wait to try it again :)

What a freakin’ awesome place to do lunch! I was only in town for the day but I had looked this place up before arriving and drove straight to it. Unique and high quality soups, sandwiches and salads. I had the Cleopatra and a bowl of shrimp chowder. I was offered samples of other soups and provided info on what locals like. The service was fantastic from everyone, the greens were fresh and crisp. The chicken was cooked well and the chowder was to die for! I wish I had this place in my home town! The prices were fair and with water as a drink I was full and happy for just over $13. Portions are healthy and plentiful. The place was packed but I didn’t have to wait long for food. These folks got service down! Give it a TRY! You will be back. So nice to find good food when on the road! Thanks to the whole crew at Tanya’s!!

Great service and unique rotating menu. My wife loved the tomato bisque and my reuben was delicious. We both had pasta salad and it was delicious as well. 😋

My first time here. Tomato Bisque soup was excellent. Smoked turkey & cheese w/blueberry BBQ was not what I expected, but delish nonetheless. Eclectic atmosphere. Overall, very enjoyable. Definitely will return.

One of my favorite places to eat! I recently found out they have gluten free bread, which opened up a whole new menu for me 😂 EVERYTHING IS SO GOOD.

Hands down favorite lunch spot in Wichita. Their tomato bisque is the best I've ever had, and the Chef's Club sandwich is flavorful and unique with the Gorgonzola sauce. Homemade iced tea also hits the spot, Always stop in on my trips to Wichita for a pleasant lunch

This was my first time here, and I absolutely loved it. Tanya’s is a perfect place for grabbing a light brunch or lunch! I had the Milano sandwich with a side of the Tomato Basil Bisque. I loved both the sandwich and the soup. Next time i visit Wichita, I will be coming back!

One of my favorite place to dine. Always a great selection of homage soups, salads and sandwiches. Croquadille and Grandpa Rubbie my favs.

Love! Love! Love! This place is perfect for those who appreciate natural flavorful meals. Portions were generous and the staff was super welcoming and friendly.

I absolutely love this place.

It’s a comforting atmosphere, the staff is always friendly, and the food is fantastic. The restaurant is local too so you can’t get this anywhere else; definitely a gem of Wichita.

However since it is the only one and the hours are limited, it can get real busy and real packed.

But back to the food, the soups are extremely delicious. They change it daily I believe so it’s a nice variety each time. Their food is made fresh when served which is another plus. They also make amazing sandwiches too!

The food isn’t quite expensive but it’s also not cheap. I do think it is the right price for the quality it has so definitely worth it. The photo attached is about $11 if I remember correctly.

And lastly, I’ve never had a bad experience here. I’m always greeted with smiles and I always feel welcomed. A comforting place, for sure.

This restaurant is probably one of my all time favorites. Definitely give it a shot if you haven’t already!

Absolutely wonderful. People were waiting for the doors to open to get in. The food was terrific, and the staff was very helpful in explaining what was what. I will be back. The potato soup was fabulous.

Amazing soups, sandwiches, salads, potato salad, and bread pudding that’s amazeballs good.

I had the edamame gazpacho- super delicious. Definitely going back again soon!

One of the best places in Wichita to go for lunch. Their soups are amazing and super filling. They also freeze well so if you live out of town stock up and freeze them before hitting the road! Beware it gets very busy at lunch time. Go on Wednesday for the chicken curry soup!
