We frequent Ale Works regularly. Great food and great service! The Jaegerschnitzel is a go-to menu option, but there are many more German-style dishes to choose from.

What an amazing atmosphere. Wish I could stay longer in Bismarck. Visiting Bismarck on business but couldn't stay for a connecting flight. Customer Service was superb and delightful, not to mention the food, which was rich in flavor accompany with the service!
Certainly is a heck of a place in the heart of Bismarck, ND. So dont miss it when visiting/staying in that area.

A very enjoyable visit! The building is very inviting and welcoming, and the service is exemplary!
My wife and I found this place on google and decided to try it, and we’re glad we did. I had the Jaeger Schnitzel, and it was one of the best I have ever had! The red cabbage was perfect, sweet yet tart in the way it should be. The Spätzle was great, not too dry, and not too wet, and seasoned expertly. The Walleye fish and chips was amazing Crispy on the outside and moist and tender inside. The fish was seasoned great as was the breading, A Party in Your Mouth! I also want to thank our waitress Brandi, We never wanted for anything! A great experience!

Love the atmosphere. Stained glass windows float above the dining area and are also inset near the entrance. There is a loft with a beer only bar and dining. The lower level has a full bar wine, liquor and of course brews. Nice selection and variety on the menu. Loved the variety of veggies offered. It was a Saturday night and they were very busy, seated immediately upstairs. Food was delicious! Service was fast in spite of being busy.

During our visit to Bismarck this was maybe our favorite place. We visited for lunch on a Thursday. It wasn't super busy. The atmosphere is really nice and upscale for the area but very comfortable.

The food was excellent. I have Celiac Disease so gluten free options are always appreciated. I had the AW Cheeseburger with a GF bun and a salad. The GF bun was THE BEST I have ever had. It was soft, fresh and delicious. In most restaurants, GF busn are so chewy or hard they are inedible. The greens on the salad were amazingly fresh.

My husband got the Meatloaf Sandwich. It was delicious. We shared a side of fries and I'm so glad we ordered them because they were amazing!!

Aaron was our server and I can't say enough good things about the service provided by this young man. It only added to a fantastic dining experience.

I go to breweries all over the country and I thoroughly enjoy craft beer especially sours and IPAs. I was thrilled with the drinks here - I love BLU from New Ulm, MN and they had it on tap. I went upstairs to where the tap room was and tried some of the beers they make in-house - fantastic! The sours were really crisp and delicious with an ABV of 7.3%. That is terrific for a sour. Downstairs where my Dad and I ate was pleasant with great wood tones throughout. The meatloaf sandwich was creative and SO good. It was a sandwich that had to be eaten with a fork - that is how good it was. Beer cheese soup was world class and my Dad thoroughly enjoyed his prime rib sandwich.

Great local spot to go.

I went there for the first time with my family and loved everything about it. Our server, Kayla, was the best server we have ever had. She made us feel like family! I had the pot pie and it was incredible. I will definitely be going back soon.

Had a nice visit on the patio where the music was more quiet than inside. It was a Saturday afternoon and there was only one other table and me. (Perfect, in my book.) Great food and efficient, friendly staff. I had the Dazy, which is a solid IPA.

Great outdoor patio, dog friendly. Good selection of ND and other beers. The arugula salad was delicious. There's more on their menu than appears online. Good service, too.

Lovely welcome by Robin, the lady behind the bar. A nice flight of the Bismark Brewery beers and a burger for lunch. Just up in N.D. for a couple of weeks. Need to revisit because this forgetful Brit didn't pick up any beer from the brewery! Excellent, thank you.

Nice upscale atmosphere with good prices. They have a nice selection of craft and regular beers. I was eating pretty light so I only had the smoked chicken wings and a couple of craft beers. The wings were excellent the beers were nice and cold.

The only downside was a limited menu because like so many other businesses right now, they were short staffed. However, my waitress was very prompt and took excellent care of me. I will definitely be back!

Beautiful interior. You can tell it was well thought out. The staff was friendly and professional. Comfortable. The food was very good. Had the pot pie and meatloaf sandwich. The owner, Robyn stopped by the table to make sure we were having a great time. Will definitely be back next time we are in Bismarck!
