Patrick Dugan's Coffee House

I'm from out of town and found this place. It's quaint and the drinks are delicious! There are many tables and chairs, perfect place for studying or just chilling.

2022 update: Still come here whenever I'm in town. Today the barista noticed I had a lot of things in my hand so she carried my order to my seat! So nice!

On a recent trip to Garden City, KS I came across this coffee shop in the downtown area. It's on a corner and has two entrances that make it easy to get into.
It was a Saturday morning and there were quite a few people but not incredibly busy that you couldn't enjoy it. It was a bit of an awkward layout but due to the space they make it work.
The gal taking orders was Phenomenal!!!! She helped the ladies in front of me with their tea order and took her time to discuss what they wanted and what each of the items they were considering would taste like. She took this same with me as I wanted to know a bit about the coffee and the shop in general. Some may get inpatient waiting for the person in line for this, but I feel this is incredible customer service and more places should have their employees treat each customer like they are the most important person at that time.
The VIP coffee wall was unusual for coffee (as I've seen it for bars) but I would have a mug there if I lived there!
Highly recommend stopping in and checking out this gem!

I’ve enjoyed Patrick Dugan’s for several years. I particularly like their Latte in the Raw and a cinnamon roll.

The coffee was amazing. The shop is quiet, cute and updated. The staff was super friendly.

Only downfall: being as it was my first time here, I was unaware that for here means glass cup and plate for cookie, as opposed to to go, cookie packaged and plastic or paper to go cup. Have never been to a coffee shop where regardless of here or to go the cup was not a ‘to-go’ ready cup! So had to ask staff to transfer coffee to a to-go cup prior to leaving. Again, my fault being a Patrick Dugan virgin! But the coffee was amazing.

Otherwise: top notch place! Def recommend! I got a frappe of their ‘the quad’ which was 4 shots, peanut butter and chocolate, with whipped cream. Yum.

It is my absolute favorite place to meet with friends and relax. Cass always has amazing book suggestions. The manager, Mia, is very personable and we tend to joke back and forth and laugh. Makenzie is the biggest sweet heart with the most beautiful smile and best nicknames for everyone. All employees here just make you feel right at home and loved. All of this goes without even discussing the coffee, which is untouchable by any other coffee house in the state. If you want good coffee, come here. If you want to catch up with friends, come here. If you want to make new friends and have great discussions with those around you, come here. You will never regret a visit here.

Such a cute shop! Got a latte to go with sugar free mocha and hazelnut and an extra shot. It was soo tasty! Perfectly steamed milk and shots were well pulled. So glad we stopped by on our way out

Came to.visit the city and found this cool coffee place! Very cozy and comfortable! Very nice people and coffee selection is really good. Had a bfast burrito and a salted caramel mocha. Delicious.

The lady operating the register was wonderful. I have a special order that they couldn't quite make but she knew how to get close and made it work. My espresso quad shot over ice with heavy cream and sugar free hazelnut was excellent. Highly recommend

Patrick Dugan is my go-to, home-away-from-home place of sanctuary! It’s the Cheers of Garden City where everyone knows your name. The drinks, the people and the atmosphere are a welcomed and amazing experience. Highly recommend! Cheers!

Sat comfortably. Tall chairs, comfey chairs like in a den. Quiet. People visiting on ipads or fones busy or just surfing along on a beautiful Saturday morning, the intake of perfect coffee shuttles in dreams, thoughts of what i should do 2day. Then some patrons blink to there senses, hey it is saterday morning! I doing nothing but Patrick Dugan's today. TGISaturday! So sorry i did not take pics except on way out back door. The Fire truck. Was out caught my attention.

Came here a couple of times in a weekend for a wedding. Nice coffeehouse vibes. Good coffee and coffee drinks, cinnamon rolls, and breakfast sandwiches.

It is amazing to see how much the coffee shop has grown since the last time I was in town. It's nice to see the community is giving them so much business. The staff we're all friendly & service was quick even with a full house. Can't wait to visit the coffee shop again!

This place is more than a coffee shop it is a local landmark and a second home to a lot of people in Garden City. With a creative staff they are always coming up with new amazing drink and food ideas which taste amazing. This is great place to meet new people and connect with current friends. Patrick Dugans is a very calm peaceful place where the public can go to relax and get away from the craziness of life. The staff is the most hard working staff I’ve seen and very polite and professional. If you haven’t had a chance to truly meet these wonderful people walk in and give it a try.

Finally got to try this coffee shop for the first time after being here for half a year, and it was a wonderful first impression! The staff was so sweet and considerate to me while I had my 18 month old with me (he doesn’t make things easy usually). The barista gave me a great recommendation she even warned me of the expresso shots they put in it (I can’t handle my caffeine well because of my anxiety so I definitely can’t handle too many) and im in love with it! I would definitely recommend this awesome coffee shop to any coffee lovers

I’ve been enjoying this coffee shop for about the past 4 years now. Anytime I’m in town, I make it a priority to make a stop here. The employees are welcoming, the coffee and specialty drinks taste amazing, and there’s always lovely music playing in the background. It’s a great atmosphere to read a book, catch up with family/friends, or even do some studying. If you’re in the business of supporting local shops, don’t hesitate to give this one a visit!

I travel all over the country for business and always struggle to find a good coffee shop! From answering emails, calls, and reviewing documents it’s hard to find a good spot. Either one place has rude service or just bad quality coffee. This place has great Coffee, Wifi, atmosphere, people and covers it all!

My experience from my first visit has always been 11/10. My drink was a little strong for my liking the first time but the next time I stopped in I spoke up and I believe one of the managers or owners suggested I order with less shots of expresó. Sure enough the drink was perfect and AMAZING! I’ve tried a couple things and highly recommend anything they make. The amount of pride, work, and perfection they put into their drinks is just outstanding!

The service is always amazing too. McKenzie is one of my favorites! Her ability to answer menu questions and spark up a conversation is simply “service expert” material. She’s also the one that suggested my new favorite drink and shows the time management and leadership take in training these coffee experts! All the staff is very well trained and very kind.

Place is always kept clean and never ever dirty. I could write a book about how great this place is but believe me stop by you WONT regret it. (Unless you’re like me who now stops 4-5 times a week)
