How has this been in Bismarck 5 years and I just stumbled upon it Tuesday for the first time? The pastries were on point and the people working were so friendly and helpful. Coffee was nice and strong too. I will definitely make this a necessary stop when I travel this way!

I am continually impressed with the quality of Brick Oven Bakery! Their pastries are so fresh, flaky, and delicious and they offer a wide variety of flavors! When you step in it feels like you’re in a European cafe! There is pleasant music and you can see the bread and pastries being prepared which is cool! There is also outdoor seating! Coffees aren’t too sweet and have nice flavor. We make sure to stop here every time we’re traveling through, we would definitely recommend!

Great experience. We tried an assortment of items, veggie quiche, cruffin, ham and cheese croissant, caramel roll, and apple Danish. I am not a big ham eater, but that ham and cheese croissant was amazing. Highly recommend.

Drive thru is another great feature, too. Love the rustic loon inside of the building.

You can also navigate a wheelchair, a little tight but doable. Bathrooms are easy to find and access.

Staff is friendly and patient.

Brick Oven Bakery is my favorite bakery to go to in Bismarck. They have the most delicious, decadent food that is homemade and enjoyable with every bite. The service is 10/10! The workers are beyond kind and show hospitality and care to their customers. Their homemade bread is to die for. The pastries are so good (my favorite is the almond croissant). I also LOVE their sandwiches because the bread and croissants used are always made in house which just makes everything taste better. I have dined inside and the environment is so cute and cozy. I get take out as well which is so convenient when I’m on the go. I highly recommend giving it a try!

This place makes me happy. From the wonderful staff, to the high-quality ingredients and expertise put into their food and drinks, to the atmosphere that is always lively, cozy and welcoming. People who visit here know they are lucky to have access to such a unique spot downtown. Even if you don't see anyone you know, you'll likely share a smile with someone before you leave. The owners are friendly, invested in the community, and are as hard-working as any North Dakotan I know.

My favorite menu items are a Spicy Chai and the Double-baked Almond Croissant. And did I mention they play tasteful jazz music at just the right volume?

All this to say, and there are still too many people I talk to who "don't know about Brick Oven Bakery." Don't be one of those people! This local gem is a MUST visit for locals and travelers alike.

Brick Oven Bakery is my favorite downtown spot. They bake everything fresh the day of and you can’t beat their Breakfast Croissant Sandwiches. Trust me, the pastry crumbs are worth it. I always order a Lavender Latte with oat milk or an Angry Frenchman Latte.

A beautiful, cozy, warm and ethereal spot for coffee, tea, pastries and conversation or solo time. I had a lovely time here, and every single pastry looks so fantastic, there's certainly a beautiful craft at hand going on. Straight alchemy at work here.

I have nothing but 5-stars to give Brick Oven Bakery! I work downtown, so I come to Brick Oven all the time. A favorite spot both during the week and on weekends. They have the BEST pastries in the Bismarck/Mandan area!

Ambiance is next level. Food and lattes leave nothing to be desired. Pastries are supremely satisfying. Everything is consistently excellent and the service is fantastic. Parking options are limited but that’s a side point. Keep it up!

I love this place! Ordered a strawberry danish and a iced miel!! One of the best coffees I have ever had, not overly sweet! The danish was also delicious. Indoor and outdoor seating. A little pricy, but tasty!

First time at the Brick Oven Bakery and we couldn't have picked a busier Sunday...Labor Day Weekend! But luck was on our side. We just made it in before the second rush and although almost all the bakery items were gone we were able to snag the expresso chocolate muffin and a walnut chocolate chip cookie. DELICIOUS!! We also grabbed the last 2 breakfast croissant sandwiches. Again...DELICIOUS!!! We tried the Angery French man & the French Kiss specialty coffees. Both very good but different flavor profiles and equally delicious. Love the atmosphere and the ambience...very cozy and comfy. The baristas, servers and staff were friendly and helpful. It made for a very enjoyable experience! We will be back for more!! 👍👍:D

Adorable little place. Great Lattes and excellent croissants. I can’t wait for a weekend to stop at Ferguson’s books then spend a morning sipping hot coffee and eating a danish while I read! Perfect for a quick date, or a coffee run from work.

As a first timer, I wasn’t sure what I wanted. A beautiful woman helped me figure out what I wanted this morning. I ordered a beverage with a couple of different pastry options and I am not disappointed!!! ♥♥💋 I now have a new favorite spot WITH rewards. I’m so happy that #PaneraBread failed me this morning. I wish I had known about this mich sooner.
As I walked up, I also noticed they have a drivethru!
The gingerbread man was fun and tasty, but the everything breakfast pastry I got was was to die for!

What a wonderful bakery!! Many delightful baked good items too wow your tastebuds, whether its Pastry, Breakfast Sammiches, or simply Bread!! Good sitting area for a nice gathering amungst a few friends!! Must try for brkfst!!

My husband and I had lunch here for the first time and it was SO good. Max helped us and was so welcoming and friendly. Whoever cooked our food did a phenomenal job. I had the grilled cheese panini and tomato bisque and my husband had the turkey bacon cheddar panini and knoephla soup - 🤤 Would 100% recommend and we will definitely be back to work our way through the menu 😊

I love this place! We went on a Sunday around 1. It was decently busy but we still found a place to sit, and even with all the people enjoying their coffee & conversation, it wasn’t too loud. Which is crazy cuz you would think it would be, with the high ceilings and whatnot, but no! I love the atmosphere there. SOOOOO cozy, the rattan chairs, the warm lighting, the JAZZ ♥ it was the perfect cafe/bakery vibe. I had the French monkey latte, and it was SO GOOD!! I get nervous when there are two flavors in a coffee drink because I don’t like my coffee too sweet, but it was perfect!!! We also had the almond croissant, flaky and with delectable cream inside, mmm, and the ham & cheese croissant, which I thought was the pinnacle of savory breakfast pastries, until I tried my fiancé’s breakfast danish! WOW!! I wish I could have stolen more bites from him, that thing was sooo delicious!! And I didn’t even get to the egg part of it, only the corner with bacon!! I will definitely be back for that. We didn’t mean to come so late before close (about 40 mins) but even so, there was still a great selection of pastries and the employees were friendly and helpful. I will be back for sure! Brick Oven Bakery will be my new go-to spot!! Thank you so much!

Sooo good! I had a cup of coffee & a cruffin. Amazing flavor, perfect texture Noticed they use flour from Wheat Montana, which is a bakery must in my book. We will definitely visit again.
