Big Boy Restaurant

Big Boy was made famous, in my opinion, from Austin Powers. It is what attracted me to stop. It was fun to do it, but it was pretty humorous. Haha! The flying style pizza burger?? Haha, just look at that hot mess!! Oh my comical! Crust was rubbery and rock hard, but I did it! Check that off the list. And the Big boy original? Hehe same. It was messy. But I like condiments so all the sauce was good for a soggy burger experience. 🍔 Dining is outdoors in a picinic area. let me tell ya, the birds become your friends really quick. Have you ever felt like someone was watching you??? Hahaha. I did try the purple cow 🐄🟣 a small was just fine. Thirteen bucks and worth the laugh and the experience. Thanks! Oh and notice, there is a 9'6" clearance to go through the drive through. Enjoy! 😉

Drive up was fast and wait was not long. Pizza burgers flying style were hot and delicious. The brown cow was cold and also amazing. I always recommend THIS Big Boy to everyone even out of state. There is Not an inside dining area. Be prepared to eat in your car or at the benches provided. Feel free to feed the birds 🐦

A staple in Bismarck. This place has been here since I was a child. The pizza burgers flying style, french fries and gravy are the best. The specialty drinks are also delicious. Excellent menu with great prices. You can't go wrong in any way when choosing the Big Boy.

Super fun experience and really fast service! They got drive-thru service down like no one else. If you want a fun dining experience from the 1950’s, this is the place. I had a double something flying style. I guess that’s a thing. So try this place and have a couple scoops of nostalgia.

Large fried chicken with a large taste! Big Boy has a very unique drive-thru that you enter straight from the street and with three ordering speakers in a thin divider area from the street. I got a 3 piece white (two very large breasts and a large wing). It also came with fries, a side of my choice (got potato salad), and a very tasty peppered cream gravy. I dipped the fries and the chicken in the gravy. Some of the best tasting fried chicken I've ever had. All this was only $12.52 after tax. I'll definitely be here again if in Bismarck.

Who doesn't love Big Boy. OHHH BOY, What a treat. About once a month Dad would go into Bismarck for chicken bucket and always onion rings. Best in town60 some yrs and still the best.

First stop always when in town... Last visit 3 years ago. Build a big boy in Florida:)

Sometimes you just need a juicy burger, some fries and a milkshake. Simple American grub that tastes oh so good and it’s just what you NEED. On the rare occasion that I crave a burger, and if I had the choice to go anywhere it’d probably be Big Boy.

It is very sad that there are so few locations now, so the fact that there is still an original and unchanged Big Boy in Bismarck is truly a miracle. Their burgers are unrivaled, and if you don’t know what a purple cow is and can go here, I IMPLORE you to get one!

Had the pizza burgers flying style and fries and gravy when we stopped in Bismarck. Very unique and tasty. The line was long, but it moved quickly.

Memory Lane! Grew up going to the Bob’s Big Boy in Canoga Park, CA. This Bob’s is a drive-thru only. The fried chicken was fabulous! Crispy on the outside but not oily and the meat was moist! A fun surprise! Big fluffy sliced bread, fresh fries and creamy coleslaw! What’s a Purple Cow Shake?

First time here and let me tell you people, I've only ever seen this place on movies and cooking shows. And I'm talking about since I was a child lol. So, I FINALLY got to live my childhood/adult dream of eating here in Bismarck of all places! Anyways, pizza burgers and double bacon cheeseburger "flying style" with a foot long coney with the ABSOLUTE MUST PURPLE COW WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!

This Bigboy is known in Bismarck for a reason, much different than the main chain. So much so that most people here don't realize theirs more bigboy restaurants.

Very good food fries are a bit greasy, service is amazing! But the gravy is the best thing on the planet

They were very helpful when called because I had a trailer, so I couldn't use the drive-through. Also had a military discount, too

Ok ok, it's "just" a Big Boy, but it's more than that. It's a Bismarck tradition that hearkens back to the old school drive-in, complete with attached parking and picnic area.

It's interesting, quick, and fun cheap eats, loved by locals and drenched in nostalgia.

Get fries and gravy, try a Hot-N-Tot, and a pizza burger, flying-style.

Let me tell you i haven't had this in many years and it did not dissapoint. Whatever's in that sauce keep doing it..

That was Oct of 2019 well it's now May of 2020 and i took my wife and kids here for their first time, we got 4 Big boy Originals, 4 medium fries and 4 medium drinks with gravy, it was absolutely delicious. And they told me at the drive thru they call it Pop not Soda 👍
