What a gem!! This place is just simply amazing. The staff, the food, the ambiance, the experience...just simply wonderful. 10 stars!

Went on a Sunday drive to see the fall foliage and stopped here for lunch. The facilities were clean and cozy. We were greeted and seated quickly. Our server Sarah was friendly, kind, knowledgeable and gracious. The food was delicious and worth the wait. This is not a place for a quick bite and that's great, cause quality food should take a little time, they definitely focus on quality over fast .... It shows! Our food was well prepared and delicious. We'll be back ASAP!

The Hawthorne Inn impressed on all fronts! The service was friendly and attentive, the food arrived hot and fresh. I had the Hawthorne strip, which was cooked to absolute perfection! and the rustic atmosphere was surprisingly charming. Highly recommend, to friends and family!

Awesome place! Our waitress was attentive and friendly! Very good service! The food was delicious! Definitely one of my favorite places to eat!

I will definitely be visiting this place again. It was a bit of a drive but it was worth it. It would be a great place to be stuck in a rain storm!!! The food was outstanding! The whole experience left a wonderful memory.

Dynamite entrees, especially the steak! The decor is so unique and the bar area is super cool. Down-to-earth spot where you feel like family. Server and staff were friendly and hard-working. The only reason I gave service 4/5 stars was I felt kind of rushed getting plates cleared and bringing to-go boxes. But they boxed up our leftovers for us so that was a huge plus. Also, they were very understanding and accommodating!

One of the best tasting steaks ever. Service was one of the best ever. Great teamwork. Needs more parking. Best to make reservations on the weekends as they are super busy. They keep your glass filled with what you are drinking. Just awesome place to eat.

We have been eating here for almost 20yrs, for birthdays special occasions etc and sometimes just to take a drive. It is almost 45 minutes from our house but sooo worth it. The Hawthorne Strip steak is really good with their house butter. Pastas are good, apps are good. If you get lucky and go on a day when they serve beer cheese soup get it! There have been several places next to them and across the street that have come and gone but Hawthorne has made it. Congrats!!

I have been going to Hawthorne for many years now. The service is always fantastic, the atmosphere is great, and the food is ALWAYS amazing. We had one bad dish one time, told our waitress about it and it was fixed quickly and kindly.

There have been many times we have decided to try something new in St. Louis, or St. Charles, etc. But every time we end up saying "We could have gotten way better food and service for quite a bit less at Hawthorne." Needless to say, we always resort back to Hawthorne now!

We have a 15 month old son and he has went multiple times with us since he was a newborn and every time the staff is just great knowing we have a kid. Once when he was a few months old a staff member even offered to hold him so I (mama) could eat! A few other times as he got older he would be fussy or drop a toy etc and they never hesitated to stop and help us out or just talk to distract him and make him happy. The staff genuinely cares and we will continue going to Hawthorne as often as we do!

My favorite go to dish is Fried Spinach for the Appetizer and the Hawthorne Strip for the main dish. My husband ALWAYS tries something new whether its a special or something off the menu and he has never got something bad. They're food is great!

Christmas luncheon for us. Our meals were delicious, reasonably priced, and large servings. Two of us had the grouper, and our friend had steak. The dessert was not worth getting. My friend's brownie was large but average on taste. My dutch apple pie had runny filling, and the crumb topping was soggy.

Quaint out of the way restaurant with small town charm. Good food for the price. Portions are large. Service was excellent. My cream sauce pasta dish was very tasty and could have served 3 or 4.

I have been here multiple times and never once have I ever had and complaints. Well ok Maybe the price and how much the food compared to when I first came here. But that's to be expected as everything has went up. My recommendation is bowtie jack as far as pastas. I get that and a house salad to go about once a every few weeks.I normally can eat on it for two days. And the pasta tastes almost as good related as it does the night it was made. I eat all the shrimp the first night though. If I dine it my favorite it the Tenderloin Allison. It is Amazing. But a little pricey. But worth it.

Great greeting from the hostess. Waitress super nice and knowledgeable about the 2 specials and regular menu items . No hurry to order. Ribeye rare was perfect. 3 others had pasta, grouper sandwich and salad. All great. Great relaxad atmosphere. Wine pours were very generous also.

Visited The Hawthorne Inn on a Friday evening at 6:30 pm in a group of four. My husband and I had never been. We took advantage of the call-ahead wait list, and we just had time to order drinks and the bar and pay before our table is ready.

From the outside, the restaurant looks small. It’s not. The decor was quite lovely. Service was amazing, and the food was DELICIOUS!

Wonderful food a bit pricey but worth it.Great for Special occasions or lunch with a friend. Always busy. More parking would be great. Nice lil town worth the drive.

Omg the Lasagna was so incredible I wish I lived locally to eat here more often! Can’t wait to come visit again! All of our meals were delicious and we gobbled up our leftovers! Thank you!

We had a large group of 12 people for dinner. They accommodated us with sitting and even changed the seating arrangement when we didn’t need as many chairs.
The food was superb!! Excellent service!!
When we are back in town we will definitely be dining there.

We found this place by accident and so glad we did. It is worth the short drive off of the interstate. The food was amazing and service was great.

We drove from st. Louis to head here for a birthday dinner. Staff was friendly and efficient. Food was amazing. We opened gifts and ate cake and they were very accommodating. Highly recommended!

Recently visited for a holiday celebration. We had a large party and were well accommodated throughout. Everyone enjoyed the food selection and taste.
