Went in to get a zipper fixed - instead of buying a new coat - on my coat and it was done in a matter of minutes and extremely reasonably priced. Great service, great price, friendly, helpful staff! And they have a great selection of high quality shoes, socks, and accessories. Highly recommended.

The most helpful place I've been to for leather and suede!

Mark & Sandy gave me some great advice on treatment and products to use to keep my coats and shoes in top shape. They were very knowledgeable, helpful, and personable—could not recommend them anymore!

These guys are true, old-school, old-world craftsmen. They take great care of our shoes and boots. Michelle buys a LOT of shoes and boots. I'm almost broke! But Gartner's fixes them and they are reasonably priced.

Very good at the work. Had to take my redwing boots to them so we redwing couldn't fix in shop. But Redwings paid them to repair the boots.

Gartner's is the place to go for highest quality customer service and knowledge about everything footwear. They have a great selection of top brands, and will order items for you if they don't have them in stock, or you have an outnif the ordinary shoe need.

I have taken shoes there to be repaired or modified to fit my feet, and they have always made the shoes that I loved wearable again.

I brought a bag back with me to Bismarck from my current home in Chicago because my local shoe repair company couldn’t fix the broken clasp. Gartner’s fixed it beautifully - you could never tell it was broken! It has sentimental value so I was delighted they could fix it. Amazing quality.

Looking for stretchy shoe strings. They had a different format than what I had in mind but work just as well.

I have been going to Gartner’s Capital Shoe Hospital for 10+ years. I’m always greeted with friendly customer service. Recently brought in a pair of summer sandals that needed a second repair. The younger gentleman that helped me did a phenomenal job with the repairs. They guaranty their work and alway provide amazing service. Highly recommend!!

Mark really knows his stuff! Came in with a heal pain and he was able to look at how my feet sat in my shoes and on the ground and hook me up with insoles to help. Even a stretch to quicken the healing. Fantastic service, easy parking.

Real customer service experience. Very helpful I bought suede cleaner and silicone and had a pair of shoes stretched. The experience was great shoes now fit and all of the products I purchased worked just as I was told they would.

What can I say? Jake has gone above and beyond with getting my leather and suede tall boots to fit my calf and ankle. I have called over 15 places and he is the only one who was willing to take the challenge of fixing my boots and actually tailoring them. Man. I appreciate you more than you know. Thank you Jake!

Was able to get work boots repaired and dress shoes stretched

I brought a belt and a golf putter head cover in for repair. The repairs were perfect. I've had many other items with zippers repaired too.

I brought in a vest I had already embroidered for work and one of the snaps broke instantly. With the tags still on I headed to Gartner’s and hoped they could fix it. As I waited I could hear one of the gentlemen helping another customer and you could tell he was passionate about what he does and truly wants to help their customers. Much to my surprise, they able to fix my vest and he didn’t even charge me. Fabulous customer service, and very kind. I will definitely be going back.

I had one of my fire department leather boots that had about 2 inches of stitches come out during my training. They slid me into accommodate my needs.

I was standing in a foot of water for a few hours they offered different products to ensure longer life of the boots.

I've had cowboy boots rebuilds here Pabst jackets that's here I've had zippers put in my they do great shoe repair they even will build a knife sheath if you need it or biker wallet even what I go back to these guys hell yeah for any of those type of repairs I've even had moccasin boots on the bottom they'll even put new snaps in your jackets or vest s
