Best Brisket and St. Louis style ribs anywhere. The food is out of this world and the beer is outstanding as well. Great spot with live music on many nights. I definately recommend the Laughing Sun in Bismarck, ND as a must visit. Award winning stuff.

This place is incredible, great customer service, great atmosphere, great beer, and even better food. They were serving samples at our convention, liked the beer so we decided to check it out,glad we did. I had the pretzel with beer cheese for starter, homemade pretzel with really good cheese. Had Burnt Ends and Mac and Cheese for main, both were delicious. Coworkers had brisket, which was tender and juicy. Had the Feast Like a Sultan IPA, one of the best I have had. Highly recommend, should be the number one restaurant on any list.

My husband & I were in Bismarck today visiting someone in the hospital & decided to try Laughing Sun because it was in close proximity to it. Love the ambience, friendly staff & the food was very good. I had the chopped brisket sandwich & my husband had the pulled pork, each with a side salad, that was huge, & a large helping of kettle chips. We would definitely recommend both sandwiches! Also, the portions were very generous! If you go away hungry, that’s on you. We didn’t try any of the beers, but they had a good selection & I’d like to go back & give some a whirl.

Great ambiance! Staff was super friendly and cheerful. I had the absolute BEST cider I’ve ever had and it was by Ciderboys in the flavor First Press. Highly recommend! They also have axe throwing lanes that you can rent out by the hour. Dog friendly and family friendly.

Food is the bomb.com!!! Absolutely amazing all the way around. The short guy up front made the best first impression and the food only made it better. We got the brisket, burnt ends and Turky Buffalo Mac. All blew our minds!

Stopped by grab a bite to eat and a quick drink. Staff were excellent and tried the sweet bbq burnt ends. Definitely church in your mouth. I will definitely return and cant wait. Thank you for the experience.

In town for a couple of days and stopped for lunch after we left the airport. OMG this was the BEST way to start our vacay!
Every single thing we ordered (6 of us) was amazing. Pulled pork nachos, tacos, sandwiches, ribs, Mac n cheese, chips...even the pickles are good. Got the Flying Axe Red Ale...went perfect with it all. Wow!!! We are discussing ending our trip here before heading back to the airport...
Grateful it wasn't busy...but why wasn't it busy....locals need to come here often!

Born and raised in Texas and I currently live in Austin so I know good brisket. This was some of the best brisket I’ve had outside of the lone star state. Amazing brisket, the lean and the moist was delicious. Mac and cheese was also good and the cornbread was excellent!

Great patio outside. Good IPAs. I tried two of them. Had a brisket plate; big portions! Employees were all masked, which helped me feel safe. We will return!

We went there to grab lunch not realizing it was a BBQ joint. Food was awesome and so were the brews. Great service. Would highly recommend.

What a fun place to stop as a local or a tourist! Ax throwing, wonderful portions for the pricing, I wish I was there for live music but a beautiful venue and even better brisket.

Great time and great beer at Laughing Sun! Even in a Wednesday evening it was popular. Great selection of brewed beers plus axe throwing booths and BBQ. Definitely will go back given the time!

Best place for live music in town. Great beer. Good BBQ food selection. I love being able to order at the counter - it seems to speed up things. The expanded size is a welcome addition, but even this place fills up very fast and it can be hard to find seats for a larger group if come too late on a busy night. It's neat seeing the owner(s) hanging out here with their friends and having a good time - it speaks more highly of a place. There's an excellent, varied, and eclectic group of music here which is very welcome. I wish that when bands are taking their breaks, there would be no music played instead of background music on their radio. The nice thing about the old place was the silence between sets to catch up on conversation. The bread part of the BBQ sandwiches could be better - it seems too thick, not soft enough, and not hot.

Love the place. One of my favorites to go in town. Great beer, atmosphere and tasty food. Only downer is during prime hours, be prepared to wait a while to get your food. Recommend the wings, but all their smoked food is bomb.
