Steak 'n Shake

I was on the 1,700-mile road trip when I saw the sign for steak and shake. Instantly pulled into the diner, unfortunately you have to order everything through a dumb tablet but the food was amazing. They were out of ketchup at the time but I'm sure that was fixed. Service is great, people working behind the counter prepared the food in a timely manner & we're very nice.

I decided to grab dinner at Steak n Shake, the last one I went to was kind of nasty, but the one at hwy 30 and Sugar Creek is AWESOME!!!
From the fresh bun, the perfectly fried burger patty to an abundance of ketchup mustard and fresh onions...it was EXCELLENT!!!
I went back today to try one of my all time favorites from S n S , chili 5 ways and a single....AMAZING!!! I've never had better chili 5 ways, lots of chili, lots of cheese (melted!!).
I highly recommend this (one of the few remaining) Steak n Shake, the people are extremely friendly, the service was fast and as mentioned, the food was INCREDIBLE!!!

My children and I love going here for burgers over places like McD's. My hubby and I will sneak out later at night occasionally, while the children are asleep, to pick up ice cream, and then eat it at home. It's fun. It's like a little date - our special time together. The staff is pretty decent, too. The owner is a fun guy. I like it when we get him through the drive-thru. He usually has some sort of funny thing to say. Steak N Shake, keep up the great work.

Food has been great the past few times we have been here. Like best steak and shake food I’ve ever had. Service is friendly, that being said I don’t ask for much anywhere I go really. Atmosphere is quiet. Don’t like the kiosks but I have a feeling that’s everywhere.

I had not been to a Steak n Shake in years. Stopped in here to grab a quick bite! Omg they have this new Garlic Steak burger, this is amazing (if you love garlic)! My mom ordered the double steak burger and she said it was just as good as before. I will say you need to find a Steak n Shake and try this Garlic Steak Burger it is off the chain!!! Lol

steak n shake means a lot as it was the place i took dates to when i was a kid. after 34 years i decided to go here after a round of golf. the food was delicious as ever. the fries and burger were top notch. i hope this steak n shake and all other remaining steak n shakes continue to operate and bring so many good memories.

We are currently at this Steak ‘n Shake and it has been a great experience! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, especially the brunette girl working the lobby. The restaurant is also spotless. This is by far the best Steak ‘n Shake I have ever been to.

My son loves going to Steak N Shake! We've been going here for many years. The service and food has improved since before covid. You guys rock that grill!

Consistent good Steak and Shake food. May have a wait depending on when you go. All good orders are done through the kiosks they have regardless of if the food is to go or dine in.

I was running an errand in High Ridge, saw this location, and HAD to check it out. The Steak & Shakes near my house have been closed for a few years, so I haven't gotten my fix. This location rocks! The one between 141&270 on Manchester and the one at 141&Olive were always pretty slow and questionably accurate. This location was amazing! Our order came out promptly, was delicious, and very pleasant service at the drive-thru!! [Mon 8/21/2023 around 2PM]

Good food, clean restaurant. No servers and screaming children are the only reason it doesn't get a perfect score. If y'all want tips, at least come to our table ONCE.

Love SteaknShake! The only problem I have, they have changed their pickles to Kosher dill, where before they used dill. I do not like the Kosher dill, just a personal preference.

Steak-n-Shake has a rough run lately, which is unfortunate. Gotta say though that this visit was great. We dined inside. Everything was clean and the food was great. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The only complaint I have is with the new business model, they use the the absolute cheapest plastic silverware which nearly impossible to use. Of course that’s no reflection on this location, just a general observation.

Oh! They have the chicken strips again, so that’s helpful for our picky eater.

Managers work really hard to make sure everything is correct and fresh. Highly recommend this location, especially compared to other fast food places.
